"Three stars because the repairs may have solved my car’s mechanical problems. Too soon to tell. That being stated, Austin did an extremely poor job of providing adequate customer support …failing to keep in touch, failing to keep his word and dodging responsibility for these failures. My car was in the service department for 2 and a half weeks. It’s stressful enough to be without your car for such an extended length of time but adding the inability to find out what’s happening is too much. Unless the issues in the service department are corrected, I doubt I’ll buy another car at Tonkin."

"Very slow response after initial vehicle drop off. Communication very poor. Although they have an electronic system for communication it doesn’t work. Called the service advisor several times, and got sent to voicemail - no response. Several time I was promised a call back and didn’t receive any. I literally got two communications. One to approve the repair and one when it was complete. With the electronic system in place there should have been several notifications. Also they forgot to remove the core charge from the invoice. Review your invoice carefully and ask questions"

"My truck was broken into while in their possession. Despite an appointment, it sat in their parking lot for 5 days untouched and over $2000 in tools were taken prior to service. Upon notification, they expressed no remorse and took no accountability, but rather belittled me for not noticing the fine print of their contract relieving them of responsibility. I will not return, suggest the same, and regret my vehicle purchase with them in the first place. I’ve never been more disappointed in a company or their policies. I don’t understand why an appointment is set, only to wait further prior to service. I don’t understand why it wasn’t clarified that my work vehicle would be left unsecured for multiple days awaiting its turn in the queue. Had I been made aware of such circumstances, I would have been certain to remove valuables to avoid the situation. The service manager Ron is inexcusably the worst with customer service"
