Reviews
"The owner posted that my original review was unfair when I first posted about soup running out, over peppered soup, lack of sides, crowded--those things were all true, but I could have extended more grace to her. We are used to a restaurant, dine-in experience and had only tried this place at the recommendation of a couple of our younger friends--this is not that kind of experience. From the crowd that was lined up out the door, it is apparently a very popular place for many. I'm a soup fan all the way so I was excited to try this place. I'm still a soup fan, but will probably still not come back because it's just not our type of experience. I wish the owner well--it's hard to keep a business these days. I can't give more than 3 stars overall based on our experience which is all I have to go by. And for the owner who said that I only wrote a bad review because she ran out of the tomato basil soup that I really wanted try, that's not true. A friend also recommended the chicken pot pie soup that tried that I couldn't eat. I was open to the whole experience."
"This place was recommended by a friend so we tried it. It was barely noon and they ran out of the tomato basil soup I wanted so I ordered the chicken pot pie soup which I couldn't finish because it was so full of black pepper and had barely any potatoes or chicken but plenty of peas (yuk). It wasn't served with crackers or bread. Hubby ordered a grilled cheese and that's what he got--no chips, fries, pickle--nothing. They were definitely busy which the place is too small to accommodate. There was a salad bar, but it was so busy I couldn't tell what they had. I don't think we'll be trying this place again."
"Not even a little bit impressed. Staff was friendly, but I don't understand why I was asked "is this for here or to go?" when everything was disposable. Salad bar was nothing to be proud of. Biggest issue was seating, all the 2 tops were taken & the 4 top is for party's of 4 ONLY. So we had to et outside in the cold, the amazing exhaust fumes made the meal worse. Oh, & the loaded potatoes obviously sell out early, so nothing to brag about either. Definitely won't be going back, too expensive for the choices & having to eat outside inhaling exhaust fumes, & shivering"
"Their soup is always delicious. Their salad options are amazing. It’s the best little lunch spot ever, I come here once a week to get their soups and salads. But they do definitely need to work a tad bit on quick service. They are extremely kind and helpful, but the wait times for already prepped soup is annoying. Every time I come in, I usually have to wait 15+ minutes just for them to scoop soup into a bowl and hand it to me. One morning right when they opened, I went in and they weren’t even done with one of the soups. Said it would be 20 minutes out and another customer just left. Gotta work on quicker service since this is a hot lunch spot for the working people, and make sure food is prepped by open. Other than that, they are amazing and I highly recommend their food."
