"Dr Andrew K. Phan and his team were very gracious for my daughter and I. Very caring and conscious about her nervousness. Eased her nerves with humor and kept me laughing when it was my turn. Gave me great advice on future private insurance companies and I absolutely look forward to visiting him and staff in the future. They all made us feel like family and we are not Asian. Like that one ugly review said.. Thank you so much Dr. Phan Tina Myers"
"I went to see Dr Phan to get some cavities filled and I don't recommend him. He wouldn't stop drilling when I told him he was hurting me. When I continued he'd ignore me and then finally tell me to "just power through it". I kept telling him to stop and he just kept telling me to "power through it, almost done" even though he wasn't even close to being done. He was also rough and tore my gums just flossing my teeth. I actually spit out a chunk of gum after I left his office. And when I foolishly went back to tell him that floss was getting caught on a tooth that he'd just put a filling in, he showed me I was wrong by jamming the floss into my gum next to that tooth and yanking it out forcefully several times. I gave up insisting that I was getting floss caught in the filling when I realized that asking him to be more gentle was pointless. Now I can't use floss picks between those teeth without having to awkwardly cut it out of the back of my mouth. I was never afraid of going to the dentist like I am after seeing him. And my new dentist said he drilled so deep she can't fix the shoddy work he did. If you value your teeth stay clear of this guy!"
"I'm leaving a review for my husband's visit here today. We heard about this place from a friend and we are so very thankful. My husband had to have all his teeth removed for dentures (chewing tobacco is very bad for your teeth and my husband learned the hard way). He avoided going to any dentist for years because we knew it was going to be very expensive. Anyway, here he was treated with kindness and we found the best price by far! It is such a wonderful thing to find a practice that is genuinely out to help people. It is a little hard to spot the building when driving down 82nd, but they do have a parking lot (I drove right past it when I dropped my husband off)."
"Great work during an emergency! I have a pretty common story. I was chewing on an almond and then my tooth cracked in half. I tried to get this fixed by my Kaiser Dental Plan and they quoted me north of $2k just for that one tooth. No payment plan - I was told to take it or leave it. I didn't have the money at the time, and my tooth wasn't in any immediate pain, so I shrugged it off and kept my new sharp tooth. Fast forward 3 years later, my tooth would have its reckoning. I was playing with my daughter and literally out of nowhere my whole left side of my face flashed with pain. It started at the lower part of my mouth, then traveled to the top of my mouth, then it throbbed without mercy in my ear. This continued for 7 days. The pain in my ear felt like I had an ear infection, my mouth was so sensitive I lost my appetite, my thoughts were a jumble, and the pain got so bad that I felt nauseous. I couldn't sleep well, because just laying my head down would aggravate my tooth and cause the whole vicious cycle to start all over again. After, "manning it up" was no longer and option and I couldn't hide my pain anymore from the Mrs, she demanded that I go to dentist. That's when I met Dr Phan. Not only is he kind and patient, there is something truly different about him. He is one of those rare people that you meet that absolutely loves his job. He is a professional that knew exactly what to do, quickly and with as little pain possible. In the picture I attached, on the left you will see my tooth before Dr Phan. There was a huge hole in it that caused bacteria to enter my tooth and affect the roots. Dr Phan, told me that he could still save the tooth and didn't need to extract it. At this point, I knew I was headed for a root canal. Which, from my past experiences, can be pretty painful. But his new approach to root canals isn't the old sit you down on the same day and drill in your mouth as you writhe in agony. Instead, he gives you a multi-step treatment plan that will help bring down the bad bacteria in your mouth, and stop that horrible pain. Then once you come back in, he will perform one of the best root canals that I've ever experienced. The image on the right was what my tooth looked like after about 60 minutes of almost painless drilling. I can't say you won't feel anything, because it is still a high powered drill in your mouth, but you feel more and more relief as you sit in the chair. Which has never happened when I visit other dentists. The last thing I'll end with a small note about his character. This ALL happened during COVID-19. He and his team have taken a big financial hit, like most other businesses, and he could have closed shop or taken advantage of my situation and overcharged me. But he didn't. He and his team stepped up during these challenging times. They took every precaution to keep their distance and disinfect everything. The see patients two days a week so the risk of spreading covid is low. I honestly, can't say enough good stuff about their team. I will definitely be taking the rest of my family here."
"We took our 7 year old daughter here and it was a great experience. He was very professional and has a great sense of humor that even made us laugh. He made sure our daughter was comfortable before doing any actual work on her teeth. The office itself is new and nicely decorated but the parking lot is a bit rough and needs paving but don't let that stop you from a visit."
