"The food quality met exceptional expectation from our experience eating regularly at the Portland location. The outside seating was amazing and the sunset as we ate dinner. Our waitress was friendly and courteous. I can't wait to come back to eugene!"
"Food was absolutely fantastic. Service was awful. We had a bigger party and the restaurant was pretty empty and yet we got checked on only once. When we were splitting checks I specifically told the waitress what was on my bill, as I got a couple of drinks but my friend was paying for them. Then I received my check and all the drinks were on it so I asked her and she just told me she couldn’t change the check which is frustrating when I specifically let her know what was on my bill and my friend next to me was going to pay for my drinks. Another aspect is that there was a 20% gratuity for parties larger than 6 people which we had, however, when they added it, it was in very small lettering and I’ve had to pay an additional gratuity before and they’ve let us know beforehand that it was added and if we wanted to tip additionally we could! Most of our party didn’t even realize that it was added because it wasn’t in a noticeable spot and small lettering. Maybe I’d recommend take out since the service seems to be an issue for this restaurant."
"We went the worst possible day, sinko de drinko. Packed. The staff worked their tails off, and even though it took a long time to get seated and served, we were checked in on often and made as comfortable as possible. Fantastic job people, you were excellent. When I said we'll be back, it's a promise. Oh, the place is very nice, upscale yet comfortable, although loud. I was amazed how they had just a tornado of activity the whole time we were there, swirling around us like crazy, we were very comfortable, a fun environment. The food.... you have got to try the Pozole. I mean, it's just identical to how I make it, so I'm super biased, but I was taught 50 years ago by a elderly woman who didn't speak English. It's fantastic assuming you know what authentic is. The Tostada? Bangin. It sat under the AC and got cold while I freaked out on the Pozole, but the flavors were excellent, although I'd rather have shredded iceberg just for ease of eating. The queso looking thing is Carlito's Skillet and is also super yummy. The tacos were excellent although not huge. Flavors were on point for the crowd, not spicy but very flavorful. Very obvious they care what they put out in every way, from the excellent drinks to the helpful and patient staff to the FOOD...ok, enough said. Be hungry when you go? Enjoy!"
"On a Saturday night this place was packed with a line to get in. Despite that we were seated in just a few minutes. The chips and salsa were great. I recommend getting three salsas as the chip portion is generous. The avocado crema salsa was my favorite. Strawberry margarita was delicious as well. The tacos had good portions of meat but the tortillas were store bought. Made in restaurant would take them to the next level!"
"Not sure why this was rated as low as it was, I found this experience to be particularly excellent. Our server was excellent, the food absolutely delicious and great menu choices, the seating was so comfy and you had a choice of dining table, couches or outside seating (weather permitting of course). Everything flowed efficiently and the food came out at a really good pace. The atmosphere has a relaxed vibe. We chose the couches with a nice (about) 360 view of the city. What's not to like? I know this place is newer or maybe people dolidnt know what to expect. This would make a great date spot or a casual social lunch with friends."
