"Fun is the word that comes to mind when I think of the Port Hole Cafe! We were staying at Gold Beach on New Year's Eve after driving a long day. We wanted fish and chips since we were at the ocean! This cafe was open and we were so happy we found it. The place seemed alive with happy people and the front hostess was so friendly and kind! It sits close to the water at the marina. We ordered to go because we had our dog and the food was great, service was fast, and we will definitely go back next time we are in the town!"

"The Port Hole is a nice little cafe with a wonderful view of the water. Parking here is plenty and easy to find. When we arrived for dinner around 6pm in mid October on a Friday evening there was no wait; however, the restaurant had a comfortable amount of activity going on. The staff here are friendly and helpful. You can absolutely tell that this is a favorite of the locals in the area as they are all chatting and engaging with one another. If you are looking for a quick and easy sit down meal in Gold Beach this is a good stop and we’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area."

"Apparently they’ve recently change their hours opening out at 11 o’clock in time for lunch and then on to dinner. I like the rustic atmosphere with the wood interior and the view of the water was pretty awesome. I would say, the clam chowder was thick and creamy with lots of clams and potatoes. The roast beef in the French dip was a little dry, but soak it in au juice It was fine. The young man, waiter was efficient and and pleasant and frequently checked on me to see if I needed anything. I would say if you’re in the area give it a try."
