"Martin is a HONEST man , he's been really terrific I would recommend him to my family"
"It's wild how people have such different reviews. Here's what I know and can attest to: I've only ever worked with one person at this shop - Martin is his name. I've got a high mileage, but newer vehicle with a very expensive and complicated transmission - the kind that's sealed and supposedly never requires maintenance. My transmission was having a slight shake or shudder after doing a lot of towing. My only option at the dealer is to replace it for like $10k. No thanks. I did a ton of research to educate myself and figure out what my options are - including watching an almost two hour long transmission mechanic training video for my specific transmission. So I knew enough to determine that my general mechanic was not at all qualified to work on this thing. Long story short, found this place, talked to Martin, who knew all about the complicated stuff I remember from the video. I had him try this additive that is supposedly magic. It worked! More towing, it came back as was expected. Now I'm bringing it in to have all the fluids changed and at the last minute. Bottom line is that I would recommend this place to my mom or my grandma. The dude is knowledgeable, kind, actually wants to help and is down to explore all options before resorting to the big ticket items. So what more can you ask for? It's not easy finding a trustworthy mechanic. This guy is one of those rare finds. Highly recommend. Glanced at some of the other negative reviews and I have no idea what they're talking about - the business doesn't even look like the right business - who knows. People are imperfect but my guess is that if something went screwy it was because the reviewer is reviewing the wrong shop or the person has some kind of delusional expectations about life and mechanics. No matter. Give this guy a call and draw your own conclusions. He's solid."
"I’ve got the ZF 8HP70 8 speed transmission, which is an awesome transmission in general, but requires a lot of very specific knowledge to service. (Fluid levels change depending on temperature, etc etc). After Woodburn carcraft next door (who had no clue about this more advanced technology and left me with a whining transmission), I thankfully walked across the street and met Martin. Long story short, this guy absolutely knows his game. I just drove from Portland to get my ram 1500 serviced. The trans is totally on its last legs at 150k and some hard towing, but last time I took it here with a shudder I had Martin add lube gard at my request and for less than $100 I was out the door and shortly thereafter it was golden. Recommend!"
"I didn't take their service. The whole ordeal was sketchy. They claim to be both a sister shop and the main shop of Reliance Transmission. They were 2.5 stars this morning before I asked them about their sites. And then bam three people gave them five stars. Who only have this place rated. Almost as bad as the automated customer reviews on their site. They also lied to me about having a Facebook site. All in all the place is very sketchy. The site also stated that they have a shop in Salem, yet they towed my vehicle to Woodburn to let this "5 star" shop work on it."
"My husband took his truck here to have the transmission repaired. Days after we picked up the truck, the transmission failed again. As of now, my husband is waiting for a tow truck after picking up the truck 2 hours ago. This was the 4th time it has been taken back to this shop because it never lasts more than a few days, and today only a few hours! Also they let it sit for weeks at a time before they call to have us pick the truck up. We have given them $1300.00 and have not been able to use the truck for months! I will be calling the better business bureau after talking to the mechanic on the phone today and telling him I expect a refund. Do not take your vehicle here!! BE WARNED!!"
