Reviews of Amadeus Restaurant
"During a night out in Downtown Salem, catching a show at the Elsinore Theater, we decided to dine at Amadeus based on glowing recommendations, and we're thrilled we did. The ambiance at Amadeus is inviting, featuring cozy seating, a selection of eclectic artwork, and warm, ambient lighting. My wife really enjoyed her drink choice, a Marionberry Drop, which was not only delicious but also elegantly served in a martini glass. Our meals arrived promptly, hot, and were served by the efficient and friendly staff. I dug into the Amadeus Burger, a succulent Kobe beef patty adorned with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and accompanied by rosemary shoestring fries. Meanwhile, my wife opted for the Beef Brisket entrée, which was a generous portion of perfectly seasoned brisket, served over polenta with ancho Chile creme and topped with crispy onions. Both dishes exceeded our expectations, contributing to an overall delightful dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Amadeus to anyone looking for a delicious and well-crafted meal in Salem."
"I recently had the opportunity to dine at Amadeus Restaurant, and unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience. It is disheartening to leave a negative review, but it is important to share honest feedback to help improve the overall service. First and foremost, one of the major issues I encountered was the poor service. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, resulting in long wait times for simple tasks, such as taking orders and bringing drinks. It felt like no one was truly taking responsibility for ensuring a smooth dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, the disarray of the bar area caught my attention. The bar was messy, with empty glasses and crumbs scattered around. It made me question the cleanliness of other areas as well. This lack of attention to detail contributed to a negative impression from the start. My drink was wrong. It looked like a soup kitchen. Ultimately, I left the restaurant feeling frustrated and let down by the quality of service provided. I believe it is important for the Restaurant to take steps in rectifying these issues to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for their customers in the future. Please note that this review reflects my personal experience on a specific day, and others may have different encounters. It is always a good idea to give a place a chance and form your own opinion."
"Love their food! My favorite is definitely the beef stroganoff, followed by the chicken schnitzel. Everything that we have tried has been delicious! Service has been pretty good overall. More of a fancier date night spot. Good wine and various other drinks too. Weekends tend to be busier and you can make reservations online."
"Excellent food, drinks, atmosphere, and service! Our waiter was very helpful when we ordered and made excellent recommendations. The price was beyond affordable!!! We had the salmon, pork tenderloin, and chicken Schnitzel! All of them were very, very good. My old fashion was made perfectly, and drinks were cheap!!! $8.50 for a Spanish Coffee!!!!!"
"We’ve been to Amadeus a couple times now and both times have been blown away. Service is great, ambience is cool, and the food quality— the food quality is simply excellent. I’d highly recommend the bruschetta in particular no matter what main you choose. Tasty as all get out. Part of my dish included steak, and they absolutely nailed my medium rare request. We got dessert this time as well, and the lemon mousse cake was unbelievably flavorful. Just an explosion of tang and sweet. Can’t wait to come back."
