"Freezer had gone out in the middle of the day. Called Nielsen appliance they had 3 to choose from, manual defroster, in the frigidaire brand. At the time I called they had already been in Brownsville, but because we were in a tight spot they delivered one after they had closed. $39 to deliver and pick up the old one, I thought was a pretty good deal. I got the biggest freezer, and I think it's the average price for this unit.. They were helpful. Delivery guy just didn't drop and go. He went through the freezer details, warranty, along with a little side banter. Nice guy. Thanks for your help"

"We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator at Nielsen Appliance in 2007. Today I called and asked about getting replacement vegetable/crisper bins for it. With the serial number they were able to look up the parts I needed, but then came the news of the price. "It looks like it will cost $64 per bin, let me see what the shipping will be ..." Needing two of these pricey bins, I started to worry. "You know, sometimes we keep stuff like this from the used fridges that come in. Let me see if we have something in the back!" They did! She had me bring one of the broken bins down to check the size. They were perfect! She only charged me $20 a piece for them. We are so glad to have a local appliance store that values their customers! To their helpful staff, thank you so much!"
