Reviews of Willamette Dental Group - Springfield Specialty
"I got a lot of stuff going on in my mouth and I'm aware of that. I let it get bad and now it seems I'm paying the price as my wisdom tooth has seemingly impacted my molar. They let me know of this fact and told me that it would be 3 weeks before I could schedule an appointment to schedule the surgery to take out my tooth. They gave me a syringe and told me to run salt water over the gum area to ease the pain.( I have done that many a time and continue to do so because I believe in doctors orders and all that. ) however that did not help as the following night I lay aching in agony for over 6 hours until I was finally able to get 3 or 4 hours of sleep. The pain was excruciating and radiating at this point. So much so that I, a 240 pound man was reduced to tears in my bathroom, had to have my girlfriend call in from work. It was a nightmare. I called the dentist the second the phone lines were open to ask for some pain medication for this is entering the territory of worst most debilitating thing I've ever experienced. The lady said she talked to dentist and got me some pain meds prescribed to help me sleep and an antibiotic to take every 8 hours to ease the infection. They gave me 10 pills For pain that I am going to have to cope with for 21 days at the minimum. Idk what to do. I'm in the most pain in I've ever been, I have a 1 year old son that relies on me to take care of him and I don't know what to do. I can't wait three weeks to schedule to take this out it's an emergency and I just wish it was treated that way."
"I’ve been with Willamette Dental for some time and am recently disappointed with their conduct. Upon leaving an appointment over the summer, the receptionist offhandedly said that I would be wrongly billed for something (fillings I believe?) and to contest it via mail. To my knowledge, that bill never came until now. I live abroad and it would be mailed to my dad. Yesterday, I received an extremely unprofessional phone call in the matter. A male receptionist cut me off as I was trying to explain the situation, and then said that I’m “22 and should be handling it myself” as I was trying to explain that I can’t receive the bill whilst living across the world from the billing address. The call either dropped, or he hung up on me. The interaction was appalling and I don’t count on coming back, nor should I be wrongly billed for something that they had anticipated doing (without my knowledge) but finally never did. That is an issue that they should have resolved themselves."
"Been with WD since roughly 2015. I’ve had the best experience overcoming my fears of past traumas with bad dental work. Dr.lidner was the best dentist I’ve ever had. Not only did he help me overcome fears but he was honest and gentle and I trusted his opinions. I called to make an appointment with him today to find out with ZERO notice to his patients that he has left WD. They refused to a schedule this important appointment I was requesting because now I need to “establish care” with a new dentist, which is ridiculous considering I’ve established care there since 2015. Then they told me I couldn’t be seen until that happens yet they couldn’t even give me a time frame when I can possibly establish care with a new dentist. Devastated and very irritated with this requirement and lack of information to move forward with an appointment. So now I have to wait for a call for god knows how long to see a new dentist before I even get seen for this filling. Last time I scheduled they were months out so I fear I have to wait months for this to happen. VERY disappointing."
"This place is cold and nonpersonal. You will get your work done, but everything feels bare minimum after that. Before my insurance changed, my last dentist office actually wanted to help me and see that I am on a good path. I do not get that here at all. It may be due to a conflict of interest where they want to spend the least amount of time possible with you to maximize profits because they are both the insurer and the provider? I have stopped visiting this place because it seems like that is what they want anyways."
"I got private insurance to Willamette dental and when I called to make an appointment after being referred to the orthodontist there. They requested that I started a whole new new patient form and have to come in and get seen and have done multiple other things which will cost me money not to mention, my child has already had done recently before they will even consider seeing my child. I am so tired of companies and insurance is trying to scam working families out of their hard-earned money. Beware if you have to go be seen by them."
