"We went with JFO because that is who our dentist recommended to us. I didn't really think to look around, I just figured it was probably the same everywhere and JFO seemed highly liked. After a few check in appointments, in June, it was recommended to me get braces on my son. After a lot of money, almost my entire lifetime orthodontia insurance benefit was spent, we had issue after issue with our braces. The after hours on call number will not answer their phone, will only text. I did not love the vibe I got from the get go but we proceeded. My final straw at this business was Dr.Johnson telling my 9 year old "jokingly" that he could snort a line of cocaine. As a parent, I do not appreciate that being a joke to a child. There seems to be a definite lack of boundaries. Fast forward a month or so later, we have now received two outside opinions that my son should not have had braces to begin with. So now, we are braceless and out the cost of the braces and no more insurance coverage if he needs them down the line."

"I would rate them way more then 5 stars!!!Are you looking for The Best Orthodontist for your kids? If you live in or near Salem Oregon, or even if you are willing to travel. Please call or go to Johnson Family Orthodontics. My son had braces when I resided in Las Vegas, NV. Then we ended up moving out to Salem, Oregon. When the time came for my sons braces to be removed, we called 12 different Orthodontist clinics. To my surprise none of them were willing to remove his braces, stating they would not touch another Orthodotists work. This was an issue, as my sons braces at this point are 1 year past when they should have been removed. So I reached out to one last Orthodontist office, hoping they would help. I ended up Calling JFO and the wonderful receptionist told me they could help. So I set up an appointment for as soon as possible, which by the way was not far out. When we arrived at JFO we were greeted by friendly and the most amazing staff. While we waited they had video game systems in the waiting room for my son to play. Once we were in the back Dr. Johnson made my son feel not so nervous and made jokes and explained things to him about what he was going to do, in a way he would understand. Long story short not only did myself and my son receive the best care, but Dr. Johnson also reduced the cost for us and they do payment plans for any remaining balance. So if your child needs braces and your worried about cost not only will you get exceptional and friendly care but they work with you. As Dr. Johnson said to me that day he did not care if it took me 20 years to pay off the balance, he was just glad he could help my son, while I did not have to worry about paying it a off right then and there. I personally want to thank Dr. Johnson and his amazing staff for helping all kids, have a smile they will love."
