"Great staff but the place was not pleasant. The food gave my partner and I an upset stomach for the rest of the night."
"Lack of knowledge of subtitles of Chinese cousine, mostly bulk starch and bland . Pork fried rice steamed and scooped up in a ice cream scooper,no pork to be found.. Waitress didn't know difference between lo mein and chow mein noodles..etc.etc.."
"I agree with the other guy. Only thing worth eating was pork fried rice. We tried several items. Friendly people there do I don’t like leaving a bad review but it is what it is ya’ll."
"A++ best seafood soup I have ever eaten. OMG it's so good!"
"This was right after, Newport opened back up, but before Newport got shut back down, by Covid-19. I have been to Newport easily over 100 times, since childhood & it is one of my most beloved places to visit, on the Oregon Coast. This was my first time, not going to a place known, for its Fish dinners. We had a major hankering, for Chinese food & just simply pulled over, when we saw a Chinese restaurant, that had opened up & was seating folks. So glad my intuition is usually spot on, because this place was super good. Their Mar Far Chicken batter, is Reddish in color. I have never seen that before & was eager for my first bite. The Mar Far Chicken was breast meat, which in my opinion, should always be. That reddish batter intrigued me. It tasted like it had a bit of cayenne & tomato paste, intoduced into the batter! I hate anything spicy, but this was not spicy at all, it just had a uniquely wonderful flavor, with a tiny spark, to it. Their Pork Fried Rice is my favorite tasting, out of the 50 places, I have ever ordered Pork Fried Rice at. That speaks literally VOLUMES, to me! My dining partner ordered Beef & Broccoli, which he said, was quite wonderful. Neither of us got any hint, of the msg yuckies, either. That tells me, no msg was used. All in all, we will be back for sure, once Newport has, opened back up!"
