"Ordered a large tortilla soup, to go. The food took quite a bit of time so I was disappointed to have tough chicken in my order. The soup consists of mostly broth, tough chicken, atacado and a small amount of cheese. Zero vegies. Had the chicken been quality. I would have been satisfied. Not even sure how chicken in soup can be tough.??"

"We had a good experience here, the wait staff were very kind and helpful. I was actually pretty disappointed in the food, it didn't seem up to par with other Mexican food places and even their other location nearby. I wonder if the kitchen was off that day because I have always had good memories eating here."

"Had lunch here this week, my first time at this restaurant. So thrilled to find the type of Mexican food I grew up eating in L.A. Had the combination plate, enchilada and a crunchy taco with shredded beef. It came out very hot and fresh, not like places that throw your plate in the microwave. Everything tasted great and I had half leftover for a second lunch at home. The shredded beef in the taco was hearty and flavorful. The toppings were plentiful enough to spill out onto the plate. The enchilada sauce is yummy. If you were missing the melty, cheese-forward savory kind of Mexican food, this is it and I haven't found it elsewhere in Portland Mexican restaurants. Docking half a star on service because a couple of other parties nearby seemed to get the wrong item but everyone was super kind and helpful. Surprisingly nice inside for a strip mall restaurant, and view of the wetlands for some tables. Parking was a bit limited. I'll be back for dinner soon."

"Sorry to disagree with so many who like the food. The cheese crisp was tough and not crispy. The chicken enchilada was just off; I think the sauce wasn’t tasty. Even the guac wasn’t good. We are from Southern Arizona and maybe are used to Sonoran Mexican border food, but we have had better than this in other places around Portland."
