"Why can you not blow once & prove you are sober. all the rest is very hard to do. If you can't get it done in 10 min you are p[ossibly stuck out on the hwy. with no way to get home!! Blanca, from Intoxalock got back to me by phone right away, trying to be very helpful & patient, because I was very upset. She promised that if I am locked out in my garage as I am now she will take care of that this time for no charge. Blanca is ver pleasant & helpful!"
"Allstart Auto Electric is a Top Of The Line service company! Ask them about all your options before calling a provider. Intoxalock however could do much better, and provide a SAFER alternative for drivers who are required and or choose to have it installed. First off the company categorizes the two aforementioned groups differently, did you know that? Court appointed drivers are required to do a lengthy breath pattern (exhale, inhale, exhale) to start the car, and while operating the car. Yes while we are OPPERATING the vehicle, regardless of situation. We also are required to wait for the equipment to release us (unrolling retest), potential retest if you get out of the vehicle too fast and dont see the timer come on.... Can you say lockout fee.... Optional drivers are provided different equipment that is activated by one exhale to start the system/car. I am not privy to the rest of their operating factors. I hate the system, I also detest the fact that none of the funds I pay to Intoxalock are going toward the greater good of the recovery community. Intoxalock - Help support and provide us with better equipment options. WE Need and upgrade!!!! Second - Be sure you have a good battery. I recommend buying a new one. This was my first lockout fee. Second was the retest after car was shut off and i exited too fast or before the timer came on. LAME."
"I had a rolling retest AFTER I exited my vehicle. Of course I wouldn’t know that a rolling retest was triggered. I don’t even listen to the radio when I drive now for fear of missing my retest. When I called to report that I had an error code “Viol 3” they insisted I missed a retest and that I needed to pay $75 for a lockout. They admit they had a photo of my dog in the drivers seat. Then they said it looked I had attempted to circumvent the system by shutting my vehicle off “after” the rolling retest was initiated. However then they stated I restarted my car five minutes later. And during that five min they captured my dog. I was doing errands. Yep. I left my vehicle for five minutes and got back in and started it. It’s just been me driving. And I had only left my vehicle for a few minutes. If you miss a retest when you’re driving you have 10 mins to take it. I didn’t miss anything. This is an exposure of an error in their programming. If I were trying to circumvent anything I wouldn’t have gotten back in my car and BLEW A 0 less than 10 mins later. This isn’t about keeping people safe, this is about money. I had three people quote the lease and manual to me stating I had missed the retest when I was out of my vehicle and my vehicle parked and off. They should be willing to understand that this isn’t me trying to drink and drive this is an error. And getting a manager on the phone is the HARDEST thing to do. All three individuals I spoke to were rude and awful. Each experience I have with this company is worse than the last. I am PROUD of my sobriety and DO NOT appreciate being accused of CIRCUMVENTING the device when I was RUNNING ERRANDS. These people ought to be ashamed of themselves for what they put me through this morning. I wasn’t drinking, wasn’t cheating anything. I don’t deserve the treatment or the fee."
"Worst company I've ever had to deal with. They have fraudulently been charging me for road side assistance that they agreed to take off back in Jan '23 but they have failed to do so and I am continuing to be charged and there is no way to contact management except by email which is followed by automated response messages and my requests for management to call me have been continuously ignored. When calling the number the automated email messaging system refers me to it just repeats the cycle of emails and never being escalated to a supervisor or being contacted by anyone."
"Allstart is amazing! Intoxalock are robber barons in bed with mad mothers against drunk drivers and it’s all highly political. That said, since you have no other choice than to install an interlock in your car as ordered by the court… Allstart will take great care of you. Intoxalock is only concerned with revenue. They’d be highly upset if people stopped getting DUII’s."
