"I would not advise anyone to purchase or service a car from CarrChevrolet. They talk you into a worthless extended warrant(bumber to bumber) as they put it that is good for absolutely nothing that deals with a vehicle. I purchased a 2020 chevy impala premier with this warranty thinking that I love this car and I'm the first owner and I want to cherish and take great care of it, it's worth the extra money. Within the 1st month a squeaking noise started coming out of the front wheels, I took it into Carr and they quickly called me back and said it was probably another vehicle making the noise, at that point I didn't have time to argue I needed get back to work, this went went on for few years taking in it and complaining about the squeaky wheel and to no avail it's nothing, it's your imagination, it's another vehicle, we drove it and hear nothing are you sure you hear something, until just this Sunday I had had enough of it and took it in again and as I was taking something out of the trunk I noticed a mildew smell, I lifted the spare tire and the compartment that I've never opened before had 6 inches of standing water and the Jack's and spare tire where completely rusted, Keep in mind this is a brand new car one owner and the trunk is rusting out and the front brakes sqeal like crazy. I Took it in to get these items taken care of through my bumper to bumper warranty that I pay extra for that the salesman insisted I absolutely could not do without with a vehicle like this and i was denied coverage, over $900.00 to fix. I'm sorry it was $348.00 to fix the sqeak, not any new parts mind you, just to bend a metal wire out of the way to stop the squeak and $390.00 JUST FIND THE LEAK IN THE TRUNK, repair would be and additional cost. We purchased two vehicles from Carr mine and my wife's, we are extremely unhappy with the treatment from Carr and will not be back. I would highly suggest you do your homework before purchasing a vehicle from Carr chevy. Ps.do not get any extended warranty it is a scam."
"I have used Carr Chevrolet several times to service my 1999 Corvette and the service has been exceptional every time. The prices are fair (nothing is cheap on this car) and the technicians know what they are doing! I was worried owning an older car like this would be hard to service but Carr has been able to keep me on the road and smiling. Most recently I made an appointment to have the battery replaced. I dropped in at 7am as scheduled, they got me right in and 40 minutes later it was all done. Thanks again Carr Chevrolet Service Department!"
"This is the second terrible experience I have had at Carr Chevrolet service. I was neve contacted to let me know that the work had been completed on my vehicle. When I called in to get an update on my service, I was notified that my agent was off for 2 days, which I understand, people need time off, but why was I never notified of my vehicle being completely. Also, the person I spoke with made it sound like I would have never received an update on the vehicle until they returned in 2 days if I hadn't called in. Once it was verified that my vehicle service had been completed I traveled to Carr to pick it up to another surprise. I spoke with an account rep after my diagnosis for my vehicle was done and I was told the repair would cost around $950. Upon arriving to pickup my vehicle the bill was almost $1300! I asked if they found more things wrong and why it would cost that much more than the estimate and was told I must have heard wrong on the estimate because that is the charge. Great customer service, blame the customer. I will never recommend Carr Chevrolet to anyone. **UPDATE** I was given the very scripted automated response below, stating they care. The number given is a general directory phone number, so they care, but not enough to actually give you a number to call a person to give them your feedback. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Find a local repair shop that will support a small business and actually have people in it that care."
"Made an appointment online and dropped my car off early Friday morning. Service rep told me it could take up to three days to look at my car even though I had an appointment. I called on Monday afternoon and was told it hadn’t been looked at yet and may not be until Thursday. I told him it’s unacceptable to expect someone to leave their car for a week without being looked at so I cancelled and picked up the car. The service rep was friendly, but he said this is the way they handle their service appointments now so I told him I would no longer be bringing either of my Chevy vehicles to be serviced at their dealer. I highly recommend going to another Chevy or GMC dealer in the area."
"Terrible experience. Brought my vehicle (2016 Tahoe) in for service on Friday morning at 8am and was told it would be done by end of day. Irving was the service advisor. This is our family vehicle that we reply upon to conduct our daily business with two kids. I received no phone call at all on Friday or anytime on Saturday. I tried calling the service department multiple times on Saturday and was disconnected while on hold multiple times. After finally getting through to someone they told me the car was there but they had no status update. They called back at 3:30 letting me know the car would not be ready and they again had no estimate as to when it would be ready. At this point I asked them how I was supposed to get to get around all weekend and get to work on Monday morning. Finally they (no name for this individual as it was just on the phone) told me I could use a loaner vehicle and sent a Lyft to pick me up. This all happened late Saturday afternoon, right before closing. Monday I received a call from Irving apologizing for not communicating anything and telling me my car would be ready that afternoon. When I went to pick up the vehicle Irving apologized for the inconvenience but had a lot of excuses prepared about family issues. While I understand things happen, I do not need his family problems to be made my problems. When I expressed to him that this service level was unacceptable he replied by telling me he understood and that's why he "made it right" by giving me a loaner car. To be clear, nobody "gave" me a loaner car. I had to call multiple times and get it after it was clear that nobody at the dealer would be reaching our regarding the status of my vehicle. Irving clearly did not understand this as he repeatedly brought this up as an example of outstanding customer service on his part. He created this issue then took credit for my time and effort put into attempting to fix it. After going back and forth on this for 10 minutes he mentioned that he would apply service credits to compensate for this 3 day delay. The service credit was for $25 (on a $1000 service). Pretty pathetic considering the amount of time I had to spend over the weekend trying to advocate for myself to remedy this situation that they created. Overall a terrible experience trying to service an already terrible vehicle that is nothing but trouble. Definitely won't return to this dealership and likely wouldn't buy another Chevy product based on the performance of my current vehicle and the service levels I've encountered here."
