"I will be honest, I often feel like this is a teaching dentist, which I'm fine with most of the time. But my most recent experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a very difficult tooth with a prior filling, and had I known that was the tooth the dentist had scheduled to work on a while back, I would not have had him work on it. I went to 3 other dentists 7 years ago when I had that tooth originally filled before having it done because it was a tricky tooth. And I have already had a couple fillings fail at this dentist, so no, wouldn't have had him work on this tooth. The tooth has bothered me since about a month after he worked on it, food getting stuck etc. When I went in, came to find the filling had cracked the tooth...big shocker. Now I need a cap. Well, even that would probably be ok, except pretty sure my copay last time was around the $200 mark, now I have to pay almost $600 for this cap, honestly, I think there should be a discount since I was not consulted prior to him working on this tooth the first time, and I don't think it "just cracked". Guess I learned my lesson, should have come back in when it was bugging me instead of waiting for the next dental appointment. Now it's 9 months old and I get to pay almost 1k which is what I was avoiding the first time I had this tooth done 7 yrs ago, and that would have been for the root canal option, not a cap. and im stuck doing it here because my insurance is about to run out, super not happy about the situation this put me in had he had a prior discussion of which tooth he had planned to work on prior to working on it in the first place."

"Last Thursday I went to Newport Dental Care for my scheduled cleaning. I was greeted warmly by Wendy who is the hygienist. She was very thorough and yet still very gentle. I had no pain whatsoever although I still had some cavities that have since been fixed. My teeth and therefore my mouth felt so much cleaner afterwards! She was very professional and also very friendly and caring. I highly recommend her!!!"
