Reviews of Bedrock's On The Bay
"We came for breakfast and were disappointed. Love the view of the bay, but the table and chair were sticky. The coffee tasted like instant and the corned beef hash was mushy and unappetizing, it was like cat food. The rest of the food (hashbrowns, eggs, toast, breakfast burger) was fine, nothing special. It was a good value though, and the service was very friendly."
"Excellent food, Excellent service, Very quiet and peaceful.the pictures Are the catchall sandwich, Calamari strips, Personal pizza, And mojos, Which are the potatoes !!!"
"We came for the fish & chips and it was disappointing. The pizza was good, though, but we came here because most of us wanted fish & chips. We were trying to decide between driving nearly 40 minutes to Mo's, or eating somewhere in town. This place was one of the less expensive options in town - a bad sign I know, but with eight kids between three families price is a significant factor. I say less expensive, but it was still $17 a plate! For three small-ish pieces of fish and french fries! Even more, one of the pieces of fish was practically an empty shell of batter! I feel sorry that this is a harsh review, they seem like a good pizzeria, but if three pieces of fish and a drink (soda) cost over $20, it had better be some good fish!"
"This is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. Period. And I’ve had pizza from hundreds of places all over the US. I grew up in Winchester Bay and used to eat here once a week back when it was Pizza Ray’s, and moved away just before it became Bedrock’s. Last month I finally travelled back to Oregon with my fiancé and this was literally the first place we ate at on the coast. I spent two decades worrying about how the new proprietors would run it, and I can say with complete certainty that it is as good or better than it has ever been! I am immensely proud of the management for keeping the quality sky high even after all this time. And my fiancé agrees — the pizza here is unlike anywhere else. It’s the best possible rendition of an “Oregon Style” pizza, which has a laminated crust and light application of thick sweet tomato sauce. The bottom most layer is thin and crisp, allowing the pizza to defy physics and not bend *at all* when held by the crust, even with the largest size pizza. We got the Supreme Combo, which is what my family always used to get when we lived around there. It’s phenomenal hot and phenomenal cold — it’s just wonderful. I’ve had half a dozen other Oregon Style pizzas in the Eugene corridor, and this just blows them away. I highly recommend anyone passing through to stop by and try their pizza. I recommend it so highly that I have a free-standing offer to most of the people I know that if they’re ever in the area, I will personally pay for their pizza (just so that they have no reason not to try it). It’s that good. Parking is practically unlimited (as there’s a ludicrous amount of parking in Winchester Bay), the town is adorable, and the people working there are just the best. They do breakfast, and I can attest that it is great cozy diner-style food. We ate there probably five times in the month we spent on the coast and we’d do it again in a heartbeat."
"The fish and chip are so good. The taco pizza was delicious, and the kids loved the cheese pizza. We go here every time we're in Winchester."
