Reviews of Hart Road Pizza & Sports Bar
"We came in to order a couple of pizzas for takeout. The bartender working was pretty nice and took our food order and beverage order as we waited for the pizzas. We ordered the combo and Hawaiian pizzas. Both pizzas came out in good time and were decent."
"Great food. Service is good; it's a bar. Drinks are good. Atmosphere: its a local dive, scattered tables and chairs, pool tables, buzzed locals wandering around chet chatting. Not a family bar, but not trying to be, which is fine. I'll be back for their great pizza and big salads !"
"The bar has potential but if I owned a bar and I wanted people to come and sit down and hang out for a while and spend some money. I would do three things. 1. I would make sure that they had a comfortable place to sit. 2. I would make sure that the atmosphere was good enough for them to enjoy and stay. 3. I would sell them stuff. I don’t see any of these things happening at Hart road. The foot rest that was up at the bar was recently removed, taking away the stabilization and support for adults who sit up at the bar. The chairs up at the bar are the only ones that somewhat offer any back support. The chairs at the tables have backs on them, but they are set back so far that one has to sit far back into the chair awkwardly in order to have any back support. Next the music is god-awful. I know that the bartenders can’t hear the music behind the bar because they’re busy and it’s loud back there but when customers hear things like back to back heavy-metal, or repeat depressing music genre on, It really kills the vibe. The music box gets expensive for customers to keep going all night. Paying attention to the atmosphere is just as important as paying attention to the drinks in my humble opinion. I ended up having to put my feet up on the empty barstool next to me because the pull on my lower back from having my legs dangling for hours, really does catch up with you. Next, the menu hasn’t changed in the seven years that I’ve been going to this bar. And I guess it’s good if you’ve never had their pizza before but after so many years, it would be nice to see at least one new thing. Maybe a new salad or something. The service is great up at the bar and the bartenders are fantastic but having only one bartender managing a full bar seems counterproductive. I sat there and estimated that Hart Rd. could have doubled or tripled its sales by simply having someone out on the floor, taking drink orders."
"This place has a big sign out front that says, “Family Dining” and even though the pizza was decent the atmosphere is definitely not family friendly. A lot of heavily drinking people at the bar and that was it. Nobody really seeming to dine, just drinking at the bar. I’ve been twice, both times the same scene."
"My friend is a regular here and invited me to grab some pizza with her a few weeks ago, a few other regulars seemed to be present as well, which is not surprising as this sports bar has a pretty welcoming atmosphere, I'm not much of a tavern person myself but during the daytime in less busy hours I don't mind it. They have a pretty extensive comfort food menu, and a lot of different pizzas to offer. I would definitely recommend the flavor with white sauce and chicken, and they do offer half-and-half portions if you're feeling indecisive."
