"Cool place! If you're arriving on morning, there is no problem with parking. But at noon it's almost impossible find a parking place if weather is good)"
"Hard to get into need more signage off Main Street to find"
"This city DOES NOT make it clear as day for travelers in passenger vehicles: While signs state in the RV Public Parking areas that there is "no overnight camping", there is nothing in the passenger vehicle area that says no one can park overnight there. There's also nothing mentioning a municipal code against passenger vehicles parking overnight in the town. Because I had thoroughly looked for that even by the bathrooms where it had mentioned public parking. Again, no overnight camping sign is directly under the " RV parking. " sign. I think that the city should make it more clear, so that there is less misunderstanding for fellow travelers who actually enjoy the town. Is the city able to put up a sign about the municipal code along these public parking areas? I only found this out through an officer's mouth knocking on my vehicle at 1am. People Would gladly avoid this encounter if there was more signs clearly stating "No overnight parking." Or a certain time frame in which public parking is allowed. All it has to say is "No Overnight Parking" and many more will avoid parking there. And in turn, keep the cops less busy. (Unless if they enjoy being busy tapping on people's windows) Also, when sings say "No Overnight Camping" along park fence, that seems more like, "Don't tent camp, or primitive camp on the park grounds." This is also Oregon, a state known for many travelers to visit. I figured cities would better state their municipal codes. Also, this sounds like a very old municipal code. As the officer had mentioned that it's been around for a very long time. So, how is there not yet a sign posted in the public parking lots when I didn't see many public parking lots in town anyways? Love the town, but please put up transparent signs. *** Btw, thank you to officer Christian Salinas for being willing to show me where the signs are so that I could check my facts. (Still not enough factual information presented for this circumstance. Not until the officer told me himself about the municipal code with a warning instead of an instant $250 fine. Nor was he as abrupt, or disrespectful to me or my vehicle as the majority of cops have been in the past."
"Great parking lot to use when visiting Cannon Beach. It is in a perfect location since it is close to public restrooms as well as the main streets. Plus it is an easy walk to the public beach access point on W 2nd Street. It’s no charge to park there but during the busy times it does get full pretty quickly. So an early start is always the best bet to get a spot!"
"Remember the public restroom is close at the corner of 2nd Street and Spruce Street! That's really important if you have driven for a long time when merchants around do not like to share the restroom for visitors to use."
