"Awesome@ They were able to service the same day and their price was fair."
"They fail to complete their inspections within a timely manner. The last attempt for inspection, they claimed they couldn’t access the system due to a locked gate. We don’t have Locke states. They fail to answer the phone or return voicemails to reschedule. Just last week, Ms Sabrina informed us that because they failed to complete their final inspection OR ANY INSPECTION FOR THAT MATTER! should have been before July but they supposedly popped in in DECEMBER but claimed they were locked out) that they would cover the callout because SURPRISE the 2 year warranty ended in July, but they would have seen the issues had they been inspecting properly or even at all. Well today, I was informed that they won’t honor and Sabrina’s words. A Spector system is such a big investment. We replaced and upgraded ours after the hurricane and the work isn’t even guaranteed until now. I just want to warn others so they aren’t blindsided by a broken pump and no guarantee of work."
"BEWARE: ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS....ZERO VALUE. Looks like I'm the 40th review for Murphy Cormier and the 7th 1-star review. The nearly 20% 1-star percentage is fitting in my experience. As another 1-star reviewer put it: "Hoot" seems to mean: "We don't give a hoot"...especially about customer service. To be fair, this mistake was mostly my own fault due to a misunderstanding; still, the 1-star review seems justified because of how Connie (presumed to be the office manager) handled it. When given an opportunity to demonstrate exceptional customer service as a home service company, she/they took the low-road instead. The story: I called to set an appointment to get our septic system inspected because we're selling our home. The appointment was set for 2-days in the future. When the Tech arrived, he looked at the system for approx 28-seconds and determined that it's not a Hoot system after all, so he can't accomplish the inspection. We assumed the Tech would move-on to his next job, but instead he called the office and they directed him to charge $200 for a "service call". I told the Tech: "We're not paying $200 for a service call....we intended to pay $200 for an inspection....which you're advising us you cannot accomplish." I called their office and told Connie the same thing in a matter-of-fact statement: "We'll pay $50 for your time as I understand there's an opportunity cost for your Tech to come to our house despite our misunderstanding about the brand of the system" (paraphrased). She replied: "No, we will charge $200, because during the scheduling call you said it's a Hoot system." Honestly, I don't remember if they asked that during the scheduling call or not, but even if they did ask, I wouldn't have known what brand the system is anyway, so I would have likely said Yes (per my real estate agent's guidance to call them for an inspection). I reiterated that we don't plan to pay $200, but if they change their mind about the $50 offer, then we'll happily write their Tech a check, so he can get on his way to the next job. She didn't accept the $50 offer. Afterwards, I remembered: They requested my credit card number to setup the appointment. As it turns out...within 10 mins or so...they charged my credit card $200 despite my express refusal. I'm considering reversing the charge with the credit card company, but I might let it go. In a way, this review makes me feel whole and (more importantly) serves as a warning to others: Connie at "Doesn't-give-a-hoot-Murphy-Cormier" will NOT offer any grace in the case of a misunderstanding. This seems to prove our initial intuition anyway about the value of Murphy Cormier's "inspection" -- it's value-less! Our system was pumped-out and "inspected" by a different licensed septic company 4 months ago. Apparently, the system must be inspected by the company that manufactured it. So, someone without any knowledge of septic systems would have to know the brand of their system to ensure they call the correct inspector -- as if septic systems are so complicated or proprietary that only the original manufacturer would be qualified to inspect it. Of course, this type of arrangement --allowing Murphy Cormier a sense of monopoly-- is contrary to the free-market system that is the most fair to the consumer/customer. As expected, this arrangement enabled Murphy Cormier to take advantage of us...and based on their rating/reviews, they take advantage of others too. Fortunately, when it comes to service for your septic system, it's quite easy to find a company that provides superior customer service, knowledge, and experience at reasonable prices -- less than Cormier's non-sense service call price (and without Cormier's over-inflated ego). Sadly it feels like I paid for them to travel 13 miles/23-minutes from their office to my house (assuming they weren't in the neighborhood)....as if anyone would pay $200 to have a septic Technician come hang out with them for 30 seconds. It's shameful."
"Bought a pump from them that the book says it's under warranty for 2 years but after it went out before the 2 years I took it in for a replacement and they tell me it's not warranted but for 1 year. Even after showing them the xylem book still wouldn't do nothing. Won't be going back here."
"Called to have our tank pumped out. The lady that scheduled it was very nice and had someone come out in 2 days. The guy that came out was very nice and took care of us quickly. Bonus that they were the most reasonable priced that we found."
