"VIP Cleaners is THE most abysmal dry cleaners in the city. They "lost" my clothes within an order and said it would take a week to look for them. Why were the other clothes found without incident? The owner did not have an answer about their policy on compensation for lost items, is extremely rude and disrespectful, and tries to speak over you in lieu of a viable explanation, or walks away. I believe his behavior is racially driven. He is Asian in a predominantly African-American area. I wish there was a zero rating. I will report my loss/theft to the NOPD, the dry cleaners regulatory body, and the BBB."
"VIP Cleaners located on Read Blvd. The cashiers is not the problem it’s the owner and the older ladies that presses the jeans. The (male) owner/manager is arrogant and truly disrespectful. He came around the counter and got up in my face when I tried to explain my situation telling me I brought the garment in with stains. If that was true why would they press a garment with so many stains. The cashier checked my clothing when I dropped it off. I will never again use this establishment! I patronized VIP Cleaners numerous times even before Hurricane Katrina and never experienced any problems. But on several occasions when either picking up or dropping off garments I have run into people complaining. It’s as though the (owners/manager) is hiring unexperienced workers to press certain garments (especially jeans). They were more wrinkles in the jeans then when I dropped them off. When they tried to rectify the problem again with their cleaning solution she rubbed a large whole into the fabric then had to pay me for my garment. Four (4) very large brown stains, one on the inside and outside of each leg on my white jeans. I have experienced complaints about everything from comforters to clothing. I don’t have pictures because they kept the evidence. I would never say anything or complain until I personally endured it for myself. TWICE BUT NEVER AGAIN, I’M DONE!!!"
"Wouldn’t get a pair of jeans pressed here! Brought a brand new tux and a dress for a simple cleaning right before a wedding, four days before in fact. Picked up my items with the dress obviously burnt or pressed at the bottom ruining the linear folds in the dress. Tried to return calmly for a quick fix whatever was possible, and they argued with me claiming that they didn’t make the creases (which is totally untrue) and wouldn’t even take it back to try to fix it. I will never go here or advise anyone to, very low quality and unprofessional. Anything they ruin, they won’t admit they ruined it! (Pictures Included If You Require Proof; I would never want anyone to experience this treatment!)"
"I took my Brand New Blouse to them to press. I went to pick it up and they got a Rust brown looking stain on it. He said he will fix it. Well go back to pick it up. He then said it was a food stain. I’ve never worn the garment because it was wrinkled when I received it brand new through the mail. And I left it in the bag until I took it to VIP. He refused to fix it. Straight out refused. The item was brand new. He ruined it with the steam iron. If you don’t be careful the water that comes out the iron will put rust on the garment. He is mean, rude and have no customer service skills. Patronize at your own risk. If you have been here it is only a matter of time before you have issues and he is not reasonable. I had to give my garment to another cleaners to try to fix. That rust stain may not ever come out."
"Absolutely amazing cleaners. I've brought in shirts and pants for normal cleaning and jeans and dresses to get hemmed for alterations. I've used their service multiple times and every time I am impressed by such high quality service. I advice y'all to check this place out! The owner is extremely nice also. Super convenient location as well."
