"As soon as I arrived in New Orleans my phone died for no apparent reason. A mostly new iPhone 13 Pro Max, not responding to anything, not charging, just dead. I was freaking out, thought I’d have to spend Mardi Gras without a phone… which really would have thrown a wrench in my plans to say the least. As soon as I entered ubreakifix Alvin was attentive and seemed to really care about helping me fix my phone. He tested the charging and noted that it wasn’t pulling any current from the outlet.. which was apparently not a good sign.. my heart sank. He tried a soft reset and that didn’t work. He asked me a few questions and took it to the back to run some tests and five minutes later he came out from the back and my phone was working!!!!! I actually couldn’t believe it because I had spent hours freaking out and trying to follow internet solutions and he just casually fixes it in 5 minutes! I asked how and what was wrong with it and he explained to me that my IOS had probably just frozen/crashed badly so that the phone appeared unresponsive. I said I tried all the reset combinations/ leaving it charged/ etc and he said he tried the same and it was unresponsive but that when he tested the wireless charging he saw that it was pulling current, so he tried all the reset combinations while the wireless charging was activated and that was enough to kick my phones OS into a restart. Wow, just wow. He checked my battery and storage and confirmed that they looked ok and when I asked him how much I owed him he said NOTHING. I just went from having to buy a new phone to not having to pay anything… I said he must have been joking and he shook his head and that it was no charge!!! Needless to say I forced him to take a tip for saving my vacation even though he assured me that I didn’t have to tip anything. This place saved my Mardi Gras. Thanks Alvin and ubreakifix!"

"I brought my PlayStation 5 to two other repair shops before ubreakifix because my system would power off randomly, and both of those shops told me that my PlayStation was 'un-repaireable'. The first shop even exasperated the problem making it so that my system refused to power on at all... They denied making the problem worse and said the motherboard was failing and that there was nothing they could do.. 40$ diagnostic down the drain and possibly my system... Fine... I didn't feel like fighting. I brought my system to a second shop that I believed could actually repair my PS5.. or at least tell me what is wrong with it.. Another 50$ diag and less than a day later the second shop also told me that my system is dead with no explanation. After all that hell I was suspicious because of how fast they diagnosed it and how little information they had in regards to why I brought my system to ubreakifix as a last ditch effort not expecting much. In under FIVE MINUTES Alvin, at the front desk, with only a few questions and probing/testing the machine told me that he was pretty sure that it was just my power supply... He also quickly opened my system and pointed out that my warranty stickers had never been removed... That the other shops couldn't have known it was a board issue BECAUSE THEY NEVER EVEN TESTED THE MOTHERBOARD. He quoted me a price and said if it is indeed the power supply he can have it done for me by the end of the day.. and that i would have a 3 month warranty on the repair if there was any issues... And that he would clean out my device and re-apply my liquid metal.. 4 hours later I was picking up my system... He even had pictures of my home screen ready to put me at ease that it was up and running.. My system has been problem free for months now. And. The price was a little high, but for the service and peace of mind I was given compared to the other repair shops I would gladly pay it again.i was ready to buy a new system and I'm just very happy. I decided to bring it to ubreakifix first. Alvin really restored my faith in repair shops, and be careful out there people. Alot of scam shops in and around the city."
