"It was great. We spent 5 days. We're going down again for another two different weeks but they jacked the price up on us so much. We had to find another place. Oh well"
"Refurbished rooms, great staff - including someone who has been a firefighter for 20 years; this person is also an Army veteran. I have always had an awesome time here and great memories."
"Beautiful location, we stayed in an older cabin and it was still great. They provided a lot for the price and definitely exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff and guards."
"Well, would have been nice to know the place is under construction. We had 7 RV'S there with our camping group. Literally nothing to to do there. Construction started friday morning around 5am. Saw noone that worked there except the worker who cut the grass and collected the garbage. Total not worth theb$50/night to stay there. Should have done more research. Park/marina still damaged from a hurricane 8 or 9 years ago. Will not go there again."
"We rented the two bedroom cottage on the swimming area which was pictured on their website as having direct swimming area access however upon arrival all entrances to the swimming area around the cabin were blocked off due to the cement walkways being destroyed. After some research and speaking with other people they have stayed there in the past 6 months I found out this has been an issue not just happened from the most recent storm. The cabin was 290 a night which had we had direct access to the water like the website shows it would have been worth it, but that was not the case and that was not disclosed to us. Part of the 300 a night should be used towards upkeep of the park. Also the cabins had incredibly old and dirty carpet which isn’t a huge deal but the carpet needs to be ripped out and a better hard flooring for a lake cabin needs to be put in. The staff was friendly; no issues there. I just felt dooped when we arrived and realized to access the swimming area RIGHT in front of our cabin we had to walk half a mile down the road then walk another half mile back? Pretty misleading."
