"I would give zero stars if I could. Owner Adam took my vacuum cleaner in 7/2023 with prepayment for repairs and still has my vacuum and money 6 months later. He refuses to return phone calls and has no showed three times with drop off of my vacuum."

"This “business” doesn’t deserve one star. The people who have given good ratings must have been paid.. He has taken advantage of my 93 year old Mother who brought something in for repair in early December 2022. It is now February 14th, 2023. She paid $300.00+ for what, I don’t know. This man, business needs to be put out of business. After numerous calls, visits - NO BUENO! This isn’t the end of this story… Mr. Adam, we will get your attention."

"I brought my singer sewing machine in on 11-18-21 for repairs. Adam charged me $570.11. I was told it would be after the holidays before I got it back. I called numerous times and left text messages, no response. I went by in March and was told it wasn't ready. He needed another month. It needed heavy cleaning. I went back in April because I got no response from phone calls or texts. He needed more time. (The phone number changed several times). May same thing, more time. No response in June. I went back to the shop. He needed more time. July same thing. No return calls to me. This kept on until September. I went back, he needed two more weeks. Two weeks later, same thing. Two more weeks, not ready yet. Almost done with my machine. October 1 I went back by because no return call. He needed two more weeks. He wanted it perfect for me. Same thing two weeks later. Still not ready. Now he's starting to get rude with me. November 1 I went back, he gave me more excuses why it was not ready. He needed 1 1/2 weeks to fine tune the tension. He promised it would be ready by or before the 11th of November. I left messages and texted like he asked on November 11. I gave him one more week and after calling several times and messaging the number he gave me, no response. I finally had enough. On 11-18-22 I went back to his place of business. I waited until he got there. He came up and hugged me and said at the same time, I need more time. I said NO. It's been one year and $570.11 and I want my machine back. He told me "No refund." I told him I want my machine. He went and got it, put it in my car. I looked at it and tried to turn the wheel for the needle, it wouldnt turn. I could see rust on it. I asked "Adam, did you even do anything? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. He totally ripped me off. This machine was given to me by my oldest Sister before she passed. It was her machine. It is 55 years old. I just wanted it fixed so I could use it. Beware of this place. Find another place to bring your machines unless you have over a year to wait and pay for something he does not do. He's not an honorable person. BEWARE!!!! Report to BBB. I did."

"Beware of this place!! For over two years apparently, this place has been slowly but surely destroying my very nice Simplicity vacuum cleaner. He sold us on a very costly service plan that was to make all services covered for 5 years, no service was ever covered and I had to pay every time. He's always tell me something was wrong. Before the hurricane in 2020, he'd had my machine for three months, after hurricane another two months ( he also had my sewing machine). I thought maybe he'd lost my vacuum/sewing machine or something. Calling him and getting answers was totally ridiculous. Probably a month after the hurricane I decided to go there to just see what was going on. Adam treated me as though I'd been impatient or rude, I was neither. He frightened me, he became extremely angry and yelled at me with obscenities'. I have PTSD and was quietly shaking in fear. I didn't want to go back but Id payed for regular service and wasn't aware yet how much he was ruining my vacuum. So, last month I decided to take it in for just the service. He informs me I had made a mistake in putting on the bag and it had made a mess in the vacuum and would need special cleaning and would cost me over $200. When we went to pick it up there was duct tape holding the outside filter in place, strange but I just wanted to get away from him, so we paid and left. When we got home, it kept turning off and the indicator lights kept turning one and it smelt bad. We opened it and found the inside filter was also broken. I was done so I decided to find another place to repair it. Unfortunately, we went to Maid to Clean in Lafayette who at least replaced obvious broken parts but also charged us for cleaning and service. It still didn't work and was not cleaned at all. Then we found Vac Shack in Alexandria. In one hour they had it cleaned and completely fixed! They found debris and dirt all through the motor and broken pieces throughout. They said White's must have been using too much torque and breaking everything inside. Like I said, I suffer from PTSD and won't speak these people again but I needed to get this off my chest and give to God. I'm thankful we came upon Vac Shack! Very nice professional and honest!"
