"Pretty good school overall, the teachers are great, the students are awesome, and the bully prevention is very good (A little strict though, but that’s fine.) This is one of the three schools i have been too, and honestly this is the best one i have been at. Don’t trust any one star rating that has a weird pfp because it’s probably a younger student sneaking onto their parents phone and thinking that bad reviews will bright the school down, and then they will think that they won’t have any school for the rest of their life, even thought that won’t happen and if that did, their future would most likely be ruined."
"I am editing my original review because over the years this place has been pretty great. I met good people and had fun memories here. Even though there were quite a few problems I took every good thing for granted. It's been a long run, but overall, this school was pretty good and I won't forget the people I met there."
"I have been stuck at this place for almost 8 years. I know how this school runs as I've almost never missed a day of school. I have a friend who I will not name, but is being picked on by older kids and a staff member. He doesn't listen that well which is a problem on his part and I will not disagree with that fact ether. Even though he still gets good grades, nobody tries to help him. Middle schools kids have been mocking him all year and won't leave him alone. I forgot to say that bulling wasn't their only problem. They had a whole year of kids lunches being stole. This problem also took a whole year to solve. I have been forced to go to this school by my parents even though I've always wanted to leave because of these reasons. I have also seen kids fight before who haven't been expelled for fighting. However, there was a kid who was expelled or as they say "kicked out" for having bad grades.I have also had a friend of mine be threat to be kicked out of this school because of the fact he used his freedom of speech. I have also had a language teacher who taught the same thing every year for 7 years after our Spanish teacher got fired. So what have I got from this school after 8 years? Well I got faculty who only care about themselves and the money inside of working there and selfish people who your child should never learn from. Overall, don't send your child here because at the end of the day a college prep-school is making optional homework. That, is honestly a terrible idea. Kids will need to finish their homework in the future for a grade."
"Okay, so let me clarify, i was a student here and my mom worked here so i know a lot about the school. This is a serious review. This school is absolutely horrible. The teachers are great, but are treated poorly by higher staff. But theres a main issue that ive had id like to discuss. They are horrible at stopping bullying. I used to be friends with this kid, but after a year he started to bully me, but to the staff it was pushed aside as "friend drama". Even when it was more severe, when he started taking friends away from me, talking trash about what i liked, stuff like that, they didn't do anything about it. The counselor there even told me to stop calling her to talk to her about the issues. So yeah. Form your own opinions on this, but please dont send your kid here. It has caused emotional damage to me and i dont want that for other kids."
"Bayou Community Academy is on of the worst school’s in the district. The teachers are decent at their jobs, but are treated terribly by both the students and higher staff. Bullying is common in the school, which bullying is also never dealt with until it becomes drastic. Even then, rarely anything happens. In the past year, students have gotten into fights and even tried to hurt each other physically. Rarely anything happens, again. The administration takes everything not seriously, and will rarely help a student in need. Students are improper, loud, and rambunctious the entire time they stay. Rules are not taken seriously due to the bad administration of the school, and regularly students are causing chaos. Students who are bullied are always told, “If it happens again, we’ll deal with it.” Which they never deal with the situation. Unless the problem is reported by teachers, nothing really happens. The school is terrible, and I really don’t recommend having your child join."
