UTLX Security, located at 6325 Louisiana Highway 1 in Alexandria, Louisiana, is a leading institution in the tank car industry with over 125 years of experience. Our manufacturing plant in Alexandria produces a variety of tank car types for lease or sale, making us the industry leader. Our integrated business model combines railcar manufacturing, leasing, and repair to ensure the highest quality for our customers.

The Alexandria plant, built in 2006 on a 122-acre facility, utilizes state-of-the-art technology to produce standard tank car types in high volume. In addition to manufacturing, Alexandria also performs various operations on-site to meet the needs of our customers.

Acquired in 1995, the Sheldon tank car manufacturing facility covers 240 acres and is located near Houston, Texas. Specializing in producing specialty tank car types, Sheldon also manufactures standard car types and performs modifications to existing tank cars.

McKenzie Valve and Machining, a division of UTLX Security, manufactures tank car components for new car production and maintenance. With a focus on quality and reliability, McKenzie Valve ensures that every part shipped meets the highest standards.
