Reviews of Balfour
"During business hours on a Wednesday-I called several times. Machine answered stating that no one could come to the phone but the office was open until 3:30. I drove out there. Door on the office says ‘Please come in!’ But at 2:45 door was locked, no one answered the door or phone."
"We ordered our senior invitations for our son for graduation through Balfour. It’s June and graduation is over and we have no invitations or did we receive a refund or an apology. I wouldn’t refer this company to anyone but the better business bureau. Poor services and the Balfour representative for the school is awful as well."
"I would give ZERO stars if possible! If given a choice USE SOMEONE ELSE. My sons "package" was missing tissue and return address labels. Too late to fix now. And, the ordering process was a mess. They totally forgot to order my "package.""
"WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET. I had a horrible experience with Balfour this past fall. When I first placed my order in person at LSU on August 23rd I was told I could change my card on file online once my account was created. Within the next few days when I tried to do so, the website would not allow me to and when I finally got in touch with customer "assistance" no one was helpful, no one knew what was going on, they just told me the website was down and they had no clue when it would be fixed and ALSO that they couldn’t change my card info over the phone. In the meantime, I was contacted saying the company had a huge technology issue and lost all their card information therefore my payment wasn't able to go through and needed me to call to setup payment again (as if it never happened) So I did and it seemed to be going fine. I was refunded the deposit I made on August 23rd and then charged again on September 3rd. Then was charged double on September 3rd and called to have this taken care of because it overdrafts my account and the customer service rep told me "there's no way it overdrafts your account it didnt even go through yet" well eventually I was refunded the double charge. Fast forward to October when my next invoice was due - it never came. I was never notified and had no access to my "online payment plan" so I eventually just decided to contact them if they didnt get in touch with me by the end of the month (October). So in November being the good citizen that I am, when I didn’t receive my second invoice from Balfour I had to contact THEM to request an invoice or something saying I had paid - some form of a receipt since my promised online payment plan was unable to be viewed due to the fact their website was down until further notice. I was extremely frustrated and just wanted to be done doing business with this company so I called customer service (since the sad excuse of a website is completely useless for any customer benefit) and paid my BALANCE (which was $421.61). This remaining balance was somehow allowed to be paid over the phone and was also charged $424.00 which is nothing I am upset about. But I was promised I could view my payment plan online and that NEVER happened, but if I was able to view my payment plan online like it was advertised we probably wouldn’t be in this situation and you wouldn’t have to deal with someone so incredibly frustrated like me.I was con That being said, the $424 I was charged was to cover the remaining two payments I had on my “plan” and since I paid the ring off ahead of time I figured I was in the clear! NOPE So I paid my full balance in November and washed my hands of this pathetic excuse of a professional company only to be contacted in December for failing to pay the remainder of my payment plan..... YES. The plan I had already paid off. Then I was told it was taken care of (only after a week of back and forth) ONLY TO BE CONTACTED AGAIN ON FEBRUARY 8th 2019. I was threatened to be reported to a collections agency and the credit bureau for my failure to pay. Let me just say, I am a hard-working full time college student and part-time waitress. I don't have the credit score strength or the extra cash laying around to be yanked around by filthy companies like this. Furthermore, it was a complete and absolute nightmare getting in touch with someone at this company who wouldn't send me to a voicemail box. Finally a representative actually ASSISTED a customer - Cristian. Cristian was amazing and helped me. I got all my payment proof in order and sent it over to him. As I was sending the email, he called me to let me know he had looked further into my situation and they had made a mistake on their part (not Cristians part... he was amazing) Moral of the story - don't use this extremely unprofessional, disorganized, corrupt company. They don't even make decent products and you will get screwed financially by them. Not to mention the entire experience and accomplishment aspect of getting your senior ring. Totally ruined, I wish I wish I WISH I could get a refund."
"BEWARE. Balfour's representatives came to Louisiana State University to take ring orders and promised they would arrive before graduation/ring ceremony. I am now being told it will be weeks AFTER graduation before mine even ships. Customer service is extremely poor and as should be expected from a monopolized class ring market, does not care about anything the customer has to say. I wish there were more options than having to deal with empty guarantees and false information."
