"Dr William Maranto is very mean, and seems only interested in billing to get paid. He starts to scream at patients, when he thinks you aren't listening, very condescending."

"Be VERY careful when dealing with Dr. Maranto! I like many others on here had similar issues where he didn't want to set up MRI's after I had been in a horrible car accident, and told I would have to pay out of pocket, he always wanted to push meds (steroids) and send you on your way without ever knowing what's wrong. I will also say this PLEASE keep an eye on your lab results in the patient portal.... I literally watched results for my BP, and Cholestrol go from being within normal range, to being altered and elevated to the point I received a phone call from a nurse saying they needed to suddenly put me on meds! I also suffer from severe migraines that got so debilitating Dr. Maranto said I needed to be hospitalized....however when it came to actually getting me admitted, they never followed through which left me to suffer over the weekend with 0 help. I made the smart decision to get away from this practice and am now getting help from a REAL Doctor. I honestly don't know how he has a license to practice medicine."

"Dr Maranto is my husbands PCP. Saturday my husband was in a horrible wreck where he flipped 4 times. He went to ER for neck and back pain and got scans and xrays. Was told to follow up with his PCP for an MRI. His appt was yesterday and Dr. Maranto asked him "Why are you wearing that neck brace??" My husband said he was instructed to do so by the Christus ER dr and to follow up with PCP for MRI. Maranto said he will not issue a MRI and he could pay out of pocket for it if he wanted to. He never even did an exam on him. Then asked my husband if he was going to continue to be his PCP because he gets fined every year he doesn't get an annual.. my husband was so confused as to why this was even being brought up and did not feel it was his responsibility to set annual appts. He then stated the MRI would be a waste of his time and gave him muscle relaxers. After thinking about it, my husband DID reach out twice when he was sick to see Maranto and they referred him to Urgent Care because they don't see "sick" patients due to COVID... We will NOT be back to Bossier Family as that is also where my PCP is."
