"I have been with Murphy Insurance for almost seven years, and I’m still shocked about the poor customer service I received this month. When Maison sent out my non-renewal in April 2022, I called and spoke with Chris about the news. He assured me that I would get taken care of before my expiration date of 6/19/2022 bc they had enough time. I left my trust in knowing that they would take care of it. At the beginning of June, I contacted my mortgage company to see if a new homeowner’s policy was given to them. They told me, no, and I left a voicemail for them. I began to contact Murphy Insurance several times by leaving voicemails and emails. I’m glad I was smart enough to start reaching out to companies for quotes since I was not getting through to Murphy. Finally, on 6/15, I received an email from Chris stating he would be working on getting a quote to me by the end of the day. He got back to me saying the following “Currently, I only have 2 carriers that will accept a townhouse/condo exposure. Both are coming back at over $3k. That is a far stretch from what you are paying with Maison. I wish I had better news for you and I hate to lose your business but I know time is of the essence and I would suggest you start obtaining quotes from other carriers.” 4 days before my policy expires, they tell me to obtain my own quotes. As I stated before, I’m glad I reached out to other companies and found a policy on the 19th. So fast forward to today, 6/28, I received a voicemail from Cindy, asking was I aware that my policy expired on the 19th, and I don’t have homeowner’s insurance, but I have flood insurance. She then says to give them a call so we can work it out. Seriously! I know that all of the companies pulling out of the state is unfortunate, but they knew my plan was expired for months and had more than enough time to take care of this. I’m in the process of moving my flood policy under the agency that took care of my homeowners after that voicemail."
