"When you need a specialist to give your dog the best care, this is where you should go! We have taken three dogs to LSU VTH for critical surgeries and all three were successful. Expect to pay more because you are getting the most advanced care. It is evident that the doctors, staff and vet students care about their patients. I loved how the vet students called twice a day to give updates when my dog had to be hospitalized there. We will continue to drive 250 miles one-way when we need this level of care!"

"My review was deleted too like Alex below my review. I can't see it anymore. So I'm assuming it was deleted or hidden. Told one price but then they called back and told another a higher price. Had to put down $1500 just for them to take my dog in with broken femur and fractured hip. He stayed just over 24 hours. They stabilized him, exam, and X-rays. Total just to do that ended up being nearly $3000. We brought our dog to Sherwood Animal Hospital bc LSU wanted to charge $8000 to do surgery. Sherwood Animal Hospital only charged $2900 for everything. Sherwood went above and beyond to take care of my dog. Everyone there loved him. When he went back to get staples out he was so excited to be there and the staff was so excited to see him. Don't use the LSU vet hospital unless u want to be ripped off."

"My previous review was removed so don't trust their rating. These people are sleazy liars. I was told one thing while they did another. Promised one price and then ambushed with another. Make the drive to Houston if you have to."

"DO NOT bring your pets to be cremated here. I have no idea what their process is, but it took us 6 weeks to get our dog back after being told it would take a week, then 2-4 weeks, then 4-6 weeks. We tried to move him after the first week and bring him to the very sweet gentleman with Four Paws Cremation Service who said he'd personally go get our pup from them and have him back to us in 3-4 days, but they told us the "process had already been started" and that wasn't an option. Still took 5 more weeks to finally get him back, only to find that they didn't even do the paw print we asked (and paid) for. They said they'd look into it and we never heard back from them. This was the most horrible experience on top of the nightmare of losing a pet. RUN, don't walk, away from this place."

"Told me I could Come up today (Sunday ) for an emergency mri for my cat and gave me a 150 exam fee and 170.56 amount for testing (mri ) I thought that sounded low so asked her three times and asked her to confirm . She confirmed and I took Off work , drive 40 miles to get thrrr and told by someone else they don’t even do mris on the weekend and that when they do it’s 3000-4000 dollars ! I went back to the first woman I spoke To on the phone and told her what the school vet was saying and asked her to if she could please get the school vet up to the desk to all get in the same page . I asked Her 5 times and she just stared at her computer talking about other things . I finally Waved my hand like “over here please” to get her to actually make eye contact . She finally looked at me after doing this twi different times . I said “I’ve asked you 5 times a question can you please answer me ?” She said “what was the question. ?” I asked Her again . She said it wouod not do any good . I continued to press . I asked If I needed to go back there and get her . No answer . Finally the school vet came out in her own to the desk to check on me . I told Her what was going on . The school vet apologized and I said I understand But your not the person who needs to apologize and looked at the girl ., She was just looking at her computer . I took My cat and left !"
