"Now that I'm back in my home state I feel safe to express my experience with "Dr." Dole and his staff. Firstly, I have RSD/CRPS and was formally diagnosed in early 2002 and started with a pain management clinic. I stayed with that clinic until November 2015 (13 years!) when I moved to Alexandria. Upon seeking treatment at Dole's practice I was required to jump through all kinds of hoops and psych tests to prove I wasn't an addict. His staff was NEVER friendly, professional or courteous. They were curt, abrupt and rude. His practice does NOT follow proper, lawful chain of custody when collecting urine specimens for drug screens. The first time I was tested at his office, I was handed a specimen cup and told to leave it on the counter outside of the restroom and someone would come get it at some point. I have many years of experience in the medical field and knew immediately that this was not kosher, neither was I about to leave my urine unattended. Legally, my urine was my responsibility until it was collected by the lab tech. Anything could happen to it sitting there unattended. Well, that automatically labeled me as a "problem" patient. Heaven forbid a patient exercise their lawful rights or even have a brain! After several months things smoothed out until the scheduler started messing up my follow-up appointments. My script would run out before my next appointment because they were apparently unable to read a calendar or count to 30. This happened a few times before I brought it to Dr. Dole's attention. When I did, he sided with his staff, ignoring what was right there in black and white. He got all flustered and I could tell he was floundering for yet another excuse when he finally said "Well, Medicare isn't paying me for your visits so I'm giving you a weaning dose and a letter so you can find another clinic." Really??!! That's the ethical thing to do to a compliant patient who has NEVER, in 15yrs, tested dirty??!! Unbelievable! The bottom line is this: his practice is not run in an efficient or professional manner; he keeps a Rapides Parish deputy in the waiting room to keep patients calm; he is NOT Board Certified in Pain Management (go to certificationmatters.org); his staff do not adhere to proper chain of custody protocols when handling urine specimens; patients sit in the waiting room sometimes for hours because they waaay overbook appointments; and if you're not self-pay or have excellent insurance, you receive sub-par care and are treated like a drug addict. Trust me when I say that there is NOT any pain management clinic in Alexandria, Louisiana that is much better. To get quality care, you have to go to Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Shreveport or New Orleans. It's a very sad situation for those legitimate chronic pain sufferers! Best of luck!"

"Love Dr Dole & his staff I've seen reviews about how he herds people like cattle but that's far from the truth I've been going to him over a year & yes his office is full and yes sometimes you have a wait but that's because hes one of the few doctors left that's willing to help people who are in pain. So many doctors wouldn't even touch you when you say you need help with pain. I thank God every day for him & his staff They help those who no one else will & they're always polite & efficient."
