"This is our 2nd season with BRCA, truly enjoyed last year so much, that we doubled down and had our youngest join the squad too!! The coaches are amazing, focused, enforce tough love, and are very encouraging! Both of my daughters look forward to practice and tumbling weekly! The owner is always available when needed, the cheer staff is well trained and always willing to fight hard to get our girls where they need to be!! Joining the team has taught both of my babies discipline and what hard work means!! Thank you BRCA, let’s go season 16!!!"

"If I could give 0 stars I would. To anyone with girls who are interested in competitive cheer, please DO NOT send them to Baton Rouge Cheer Stars/Academy. Save yourself the headache and the money. Tumbling classes that are offered are canceled quite often. If the sky is blue, CANCELLED. You're lucky to get 1 Saturday a month. My daughter was on an Elite team where the coaches showed up whenever they did. That meant the team was alone in the gym without an adult. Gear and equipment that is optional becomes mandatory if no one decides to buy it. I signed up one of my nieces for the back handspring classes that were being offered over the summer, which was strictly to work on that skill. My niece ended up participating in the "Stunting like my Daddy" clinic. And often, the backspring clinic was cancelled or I had to message the owner asking when someone was going to show up. My daughter raised funds for the doublegood fundraiser and a cookie fundraiser. When I asked when I could use the funds ($205), the owner said she had already applied them to other fees. But these were fees that I paid FULL PRICE for. AND she never even let me know she applied them. I had to show her screenshots to prove that I always paid full price because I didn't even know where the funds were applied. Had I not brought this to her attention, we would have gone a whole season without that money (if we decided to continue with the program) We ultimately quit the team. This was one week before a parent showcase where they weren't even sure if my daughter's team would be participating. Apparently, other girls quit and the routine had to be changed. And that very week, the coaches were late. One day, there was a man sitting in there with them and they weren't even doing anything for 30-45 mins. The next day of practice, a coach didn't arrive until 30-45 mins after practice should have started. And when she got there, they just tumbled. We were not even told by the staff that no one was there. So again, young girls were sitting in the gym unattended. After quitting, the $250 ETF was applied immediately as it is stated in the policy. Funny how that works huh? That charge is applied immediately, but you have to guess and carry the one when figuring out when credits from fundraisers are applied to your account. And apparently, when you quit, that $205 from the fundraiser just goes to the house. This organization needs a whole redo. or do yourself a favor and just DONT. There are other orgs out there that will be a better choice. I went against my better judgement and the warnings from others. Save yourself the time, the money, and the headache. If you do decide to see how things are, there's a whole bunch of extra merch that I won't receive that'll be on hand for you. Only if it isn't distributed to the teams the staff favor. :)"
