"I've made 3 claims with them in 30 years. Once for a roof. They only paid 1/2. I for a leak in the roof they said "wear and tear" paid nothing. And another for tree damage to building. They said " act of God". Paid nothing... But by God, don't be late on your payment. Thinking very seriously about moving to some other company. This company didn't even make the top 10 insurance companies. It's a joke"

"Don't share anything with these people when filing a claim. They will use whatever you say against you to deny your claim. Be as vague as you possibly can and volunteer NOTHING."

"Paul has had my auto and homeowners insurance for several years now and is a good agent . 7 years ago I filed a claim on my roof and had no problems getting it replaced. Paul is an agent for Foremost insurance and has excellent insurance coverage and rates . I have to update this because the auto department has become Bristol West , but is still part of Foremost . Since the change , I have had some problems with Bristol West . There was an issue with direct pay , and I have to take responsibility for my part in the confusion . I had canceled the direct pay , but Bristol became so confused that I reinstated it . After getting a letter from the DMV and several calls and letters , we got it straightened out - it seemed . Then I got a letter from Bristol saying they canceled my policy . I am very happy with Foremost and with my agent , but Bristol is going to have to do something !"

"I have had very bad experience with this Foremost/Farmers home insurance for refusing to pay for damages when my property fully insured was damaged during a severe thunderstorm telling me that my yard and detached garage which a tree fell on was not part of my property and this was not even excluded in my insurance."
