Standard Title - Lafayette

"This title company has very poor communication. The work they did for me was not thorough and the title they said was clean had issues, because "those issues didn't come up" when they "searched". Those issues came up with another title company, very quickly. I would not suggest using them for any title needs."

"We buy and flip properties and have 3 listings in Louisiana currently. We closed on a sale with Standard Title and they refused to wire our money to our business account unless we mailed our wire instructions by UPS or USPS. When I questioned Lynzy Cho, the escrow officer, she said this was their policy to protect us. I stated this "policy" to protect us should have been disclosed before and that I would not have used Standard Title if I had known, and she snickered and said, "you had no choice". Well, I do have a choice and I will not be doing anymore closings with Standard Title!!!"

"Horrible business people at Standard Title. I had a closing with them recently and I live 4 hours away from Lafayette so I requested a mail out (a fee of $200 to pay for $14.00 in postage....talk about Rip Off) ended up we did not need to do the mail out and they did not remove the fee from the closing documents even though I brought it up multiple times. The owner of Standard Title was supposed to call me and never did. Beware if you use this company, go over the paperwork with a fine tooth comb or you will get SCREWED. The employees are rude and disrespectful especially Linzy. Like I said watch your back with these crooked people."
