"The Wilson Law Firm,, LLC is owned by Kathleen M. Wilson. Kathleen M. Wilson is also owner of Faithful Care Services which is located in same building at 1762 Dallas Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70806. Kathleen Wilson is an attorney and also works at the Office of Public Defenders. KATRINA D. GRIFFEN, practicing attorney in Baton Rouge, is daughter of Kathleen Wilson. Kathleen has been unable to retain employees for a wide range of issues from micromanagement, unprofessionalism and poor communication. Kathleen spends much of the day away from office and demonstrate the lack of seriousness when handling cases for clients. Kathleen has pursued matters in Court that were baseless, commingled client funds, late on payment of filing fees, misrepresenting conditions of retainer agreement in an attempt to force clients into employing law firm, failed to properly research law pertaining to specific cases to determine weight of case or legal cause of action as well as appear to lack legal expertise to efficiently handle cases. Kathleen's reputation in the community is said that "it's a wonder why someone hasn't done harm to her". Kathleen rely on other attorneys for advice and the handling of cases. Being employed at the Office of Public Defenders is no accolades wherein such department is constantly under scrutiny and has a long standing reputation of plea bargaining cases as opposed to trial when most times prosecutors lack sufficient evidence or unable to obtain a conviction by other means. Kathleen has been with the Office of Public Defender for about one year, has been reprimanded by a judge, has been reassigned to a different division and exposed for tardiness to Court. From an employee stand point: Kathleen does not offer promotions, raises, direct deposit, paid health benefits, PTO, holiday pay, paid sick leave or other employee benefits. The average pay is $10.00/hr. irrespective of title, job duties and/or positions. If you are hired as an employee at Wilson Law Firm, LLC you are paid by Faithful Care Services. The tasks assigned range from secretarial, janitorial, pet care, carpentry, maintenance, legal assistant, lawn care, running errands, managing files, drafting documents, setting appointments and more; if complain about tasks then you will be considered insubordinate, face layoff or terminated employment. Kathleen has used vulgar language on many occasions when addressing others, failed to pay appropriate hours for performed work along with demanding clock out for when still performing certain job duties, has provided no compensation for employees as a result of vacations and extended time off by her and demonstrates a sense of superiority over others because of attorney title and possessions. Kathleen constantly allow family members to sleep at office building, interfere with workplace and condone insults made by family members to create a hostile environment. Kathleen has failed to submit time for pay period in a timely fashion on more than one occasion, resulting in employee waiting days for check. Kathleen pays daughter Kabernet and others to perform duties that are incomplete, yet find ways to cut pay of actual employees. I would not allow Kathleen Wilson represent me on a traffic ticket, let alone a civil action; and if she was the only attorney in America then I would proudly represent myself."
"I hired this atty for a community property case...Pure Garbage! Unprepared for court, asking for copies of documents from the atty on the other side, fumbling over her words...embarrassing. The judge even stopped her and had to ask where was she going with her presentation. As an atty, one should be sharp and know what he or she is doing. This atty incorrectly wrote up a document for my case and was advised that she'd done so by the judge...incompetent and extremely unprofessional. The last straw was calling me from the courthouse with the other side's atty listening to what should have been a private conversation between she and I. Hire this atty and you will be sorry."
