"While walking around the state capitol, had a local suggest going to this attraction. Neat buildings and fountain area. Didn’t go inside the buildings."
"This is listed as a museum on the Google Maps, the link to the website leads to itineraries through the National Park Service. The information signs state that the buildings were built in 1819 and could house 1000 troops. In the 1880s, it was given to Louisiana State University and used as dormitories. They are now registered on the Historic Landmarks and are used by the Louisiana State Government. The grounds are lovely, and the buildings are well maintained."
