"Stay Away. Terrible Company. These guys can't do simple math and work at a snail's pace. Customer Service is horrible. They don't care about their customers. Wish I could have given Zero Stars. You better change your ways if you want to stay in business."
"Best place to go for tags, licenses, titles, etc. Really fast and better than DMV. Would highly recommend!"
"I recently moved back to Louisiana with my husband after having been gone for nearly fifteen years now. My last name was legally changed to my partner’s over ten years ago, before gay marriage even became legal. The marriage itself did not affect me changing my last name, as this was done through the standard court process prior. All of my forms of ID match my new last name, which has been the name I’ve gone by for over a decade now. The first title clerk (Addyson I believe) we saw was very helpful and going to process everything since my passport, mail, and my driver’s license showed my new last name; she said there would not be an issue. (Also states this on the Louisiana dmv website) I had to leave to resolve an issue over the phone, and when I came back I was assigned to Lainey. She immediately questioned the name change (since my old license from years ago showed my previous one) and said that she would need to see my marriage license (which is at our home in another state). I confronted her and showed her what the website referenced, which she had zero interest in. She said that she would speak to another manager in the back. Upon returning she advised that she would not process my license. My assumption is that Thib’s operates under the statutes of Louisiana. Lainey even stated that I could go to the DMV, but that she would not process it. The website for LADMV explicitly outlined the issue, and all of the requirements were met by my legitimate forms of ID. Requesting to see my marriage license (which was not the actual action that resulted in my last name change) is a direct form of discrimination/over-documentation. It was not warranted; my passport and other documents have all shown my new last name since 2013. I am not one of those people who throw the “D word” around for everything; But, having this encounter and receiving the complete dismissal we did by Lainey reminded me of why I left Louisiana years ago. I love my home state, but people like her from these small towns make it an undesirable place to live. She chose not to help us, and didn’t, even though I met all requirements to be issued a new license with my current last name. We were flat out denied services, she raised attention to our situation in a very public setting, and further complicated my day for no reason at all. I was able to get my new license, with my new last name, within thirty minutes of leaving Thib’s. There were no issues. If it is a policy issue resulting in requirements that are different at Thib’s versus Louisiana DMV, I am curious as to why these policies are in place. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles."
"I use Thib's Titles for all of my driver's license and title needs. They are much faster than the DMV and offer every service that I need. It's such a nice and clean building, filled with friendly locals that want to help you asap! This family business did all they could to stay open during COVID-19 also, trying to meet all the needs of locals - they've got my business for sure!"
