"Stacy Saltzman, in my opinion, violated her fiduciary duty to me during the time she represented me. She filed the wrong petition with the court, charged me for it, then charged me again to fix her mistake. She appeared, to me, to lack the competence necessary to check the statute to verify her template was proper. She never even notified me when my hearing was. I was 2,000 miles away in Montana when I received a call on the day I was supposed to appear—after having already reached out to her several times prior to verify when the date was, to no avail. This was some years ago, and I now believe that I should have either filed a complaint with the LSBA or sought civil remedy. However, at such time, I felt Saltzman had taken up enough of my time, energy, and money. Today, I am a third year law student and now understand the full scope of Saltzman’s failure to competently represent me. After taking the required professional responsibility course, interning with two firms, and interning with a federal judge, I’ve determined that in my opinion when it comes to family law this firm is a joke if Saltzman is the face of the practice area."
