U-Haul Storage at Fort Polk South Gate

"MILITARY FAMILIES BE WARNED!! Do not rent here this place is infested with bugs and has black mold. Uhaul corporate will not do anything to cover cost be sure to pay extra for their insurance. My whole storage unit was coverage with black mold I had my stuff in there for less than 6 months. Most of it was covered and mold still got in. The bugs were everywhere. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover black mold so my money went to waste. I had dinning room table, 2 couches, chairs, other furniture covered in black mold. JUST Be sure to be get insurance thru UHAUL. The manager did nothing but told me to leave, so I left everything in the unit and abandoned it. They had me messed up thinking I was going to touch that stuff. Even the professional movers I hired never seen anything like that before. This was disappointing never renting uhaul again and I meant that."

"The gate here is broken. My friend and I were stuck here for over an hour and a half the last time we came because our remote for the gate wouldn't open it for us. Once we were out we were informed that U-haul was well aware that the gate was broken; and that it had been broken for quite some time. But they gave us a remote anyways and never thought to tell us or to give us the keypad combination."

"Terrible scared frustrated hot hot no help CALLED 7 times or more .went to my storage got some items gate malfunctions walked around from 11 10am to 12 22pm could not get finally heat was unbearable had to climb fence plz look at cameras scared to go back in"

"Poor customer service. On hold for 30 minutes then someone answered, they put me on hold again and did not answer for another hour. What could they be doing where I needed to be on hold for an hour and a half? Do not recommend, however, what other choice do you have in this bumpkin town?"
