"I had a tumor removed by Dr. Yim, he was unable to remove all of the cancer. It was recommended that I have radiation and chemo therapies, even though chemo does not work for my particular cancer. When I declined these treatments they no longer wanted to see me as a patient. Three months later when I was still experiencing a Lot of pain I asked to be seen by Palliative care. I was seen by Lauren Walker, ARNP, never a doctor. And of the 5 or so appointments we had I saw her once for maybe 5 minutes, another time she had the medical assistant come tell me my medication would be sent to the pharmacy after I had been sitting in a room waiting for her for a half an hour or better. By the fifth visit which was virtual she never bothered to even show up until I called the office to find out what happened. Never was my illness explained to me or any alternative treatment plans offered. Prior to my beuling seen by Lauren I had been going to the methadone clinic because I had no alternative to manage my pain. And let me tell you that cancer in your face is very painful. I was not properly monitored while being transferred from methadone to pain meds. I had horrible withdrawals from the methadone and never given enough pain meds to control my pain. Then after the last appointment when Lauren couldn't even be bothered to show up for our appointment she decided that I was no longer terminal and without telling me anything decided to transfer my care to pain management where they only do interventional procedures. Without any test, diagnostic studies or even examining me transferred my care. I would like to add that she never listened to my complaints or addressed any of my concerns, all she did was copy someone else's progress note into my chart the very first visit and then copied it for every visit that followed. My advice steer clear of Feist Weller Cancer Center, Lauren Walker, Dr Beaudipalli, or any one else there and go to Christus Cancer Center"
"I love Dr. Burtons clinic it might be slow sometimes but the doctors and staff are great. Dr. Burton sits down with me and explains everything step by step and whats the best route to go in battling and treating my breast cancer. The infusion room has great staff also i give them five stars."
"My cancer began in 2002. They saved my life. But the last two years, I feel they dropped the ball and I don't feel the concern I use to. Dr.Chu especially. He promised me he would do my hernia surgery, yet he let his students do it. They're back. I feel they're going to rupture. I have not had a follow up appointment. He,and I quote, my insurance would not let him keep me after surgery. In recovery they wouldn't give me pain medication because it affected my breathing. The recovery nurse yelled that at me. Yet while in the room to dress, a nurse brought me half a morphine with a prescription. She insisted I take half. I never saw Dr Chu again. Until this day. The two Students said "They clipped them ". Laughed and walked off. Having to sit up and leave, in a great deal of pain, they are worse than before. I'm waiting for them to rupture. My family will deal with that. It baffles me they use to care."
"5 years I have been a patient here. Before it changed over to Oschner. It was great. Now the doctors don't take time to communicate with their patients. They are either in a rush or they just don't care. Don't even look at the results of the test they ordered. Or even discuss them with you. In over a year now, I still have not seen my oncologist or the pain management doctors that are assigned to me. Each time I go in, it is someone new that is working under them. Plus they don't even look at your chart history. You have to start over with explaining it to them. This is not acceptable."
