"Never had a good experience here, but my dad keeps coming back because of his veteran status and him getting to talk to other vets, he continues to come here. The nurses do NOT care about their patients. The doctors do NOT review charts of previous visits or communicate with each other. My dad has been called out twice for a test that has never been run (due to their negligence). The nurses he has has this time have been very rude and extremely lazy. He came in on a Tuesday and today is Friday. No bathing, no teeth brushing. Did it all myself this morning. Bed linens hadn’t been changed. No physical therapy to make sure he could walk before being discharged. And the doctor that did rounds this morning had no clue about my dad or his neighbor’s conditions or results. At this point, they are discharging the majority of the hallway and I keep hearing patients down the hallway screaming about being in pain or asking for the nurses to do their jobs. I can attest personally that the nurse will say she’s coming back to bring whatever is needed or requested and it will he hours before she returns, if she returns at all. The bad thing is this is pretty much every time we come. But again, my dad is elderly and this is the only hospital he will come to. If you can control it, do not let your loved ones come here."
"Not a good experience at this facility. I have been given the run around time and time again. It gives me anxiety just thinking about calling to schedule appointments and trying to get approval for certain things. Very sad state of affairs here. I have been skipped, lied to, insulted, and its really unfortunate that so many of us have to go through this. I have had to talk with the Vererans Advocates so many times it is disgusting."
"I called 2-3 weeks ago regarding the fact that I still haven’t be assigned a provider and someone told me that they’ll call me in 72 hours, yet I still don’t have one assigned. I just called just to find out they never put my request in whatsoever. Not to mention Patient advocate Eric Crawley absolutely sucks, I don’t understand how your whole entire role is to be an Advocate for veterans but butcher up my name then laugh at how my name is pronounced then to cut me off to tell me to stop talking and listen to what YOU had to say when I was literally explaining why they brought me to him. This VA sucks overall, do better for our veterans. For a state that is all about veterans, it shows POORLY"
"There are approximately 20 of these signs and it tells you everything you need to know about how veterans are treated by the staff! This is right outside the ER and they all still park there anyway!"
"30 minutes with a mental health crisis and the Doctor Robert Montana III decides to tell my suicidal spouse (after discharging him to the mental health clinic that was closed and making us walk clear across the hospital with an escort) they can’t help him because he’s “a difficult patient” and needs to follow up with the mental health clinic when they are open tomorrow. Yeah, they totally care about their Veterans! Lack of bedside manner or empathy. No concern for another humans well-being! I had never been to a VA facility prior to now, but I can see why no one wants to go there. They are useless! We are now sitting in a room that looks like an old storage unit waiting for a psychologist to actually come and talk to him."
