"This ferry is run by very nice people who are friendly, inviting you onto the boat with big smiles. The two dollar affair is totally worth the trip and the visit to Algiers point is something everyone should do while in New Orleans. The ferry is clean, comfortable, well runand gives you a unique view of the city. Thank you! I’ll be back."
"Since they've gone to strictly foot traffic, the terminal building has been closed. I can only hope that the building will reopen providing bathroom access. If you have to use the bathroom, you're screwed until you get to where you're going."
"A very efficient way to get to the city without the parking hassle. You can just park your vehicle somewhere and catch the ferry and enjoy your trip in the quarters or wherever. It's a pretty fun adventure in itself!"
"Just your typical ferry ride, felt safe during the trip but will say one of the workers was extremely rude to one of the people that was with us for no reason. We kinda just blew it off because we wanted to go check out the other side and regardless the ferry was the only way. Had some nice views though and got to watch the sun start to set."
"As tourists staying in Belle Chase, we decided to see NOLA through public transportation (ferry, streetcar, bus) and private transportation (our feet.) The high speed ferry boats from Algiers to Canal street are clean and efficient and there is ample street parking close to the terminal. The RTA go mobile app is an awful navigation tool, but buying and using the $6 one day regional ride ticket is a breeze. Great outdoor rooftop views from the water and on-time departures on our two round trips. Bicycles allowed, no cars. Highly recommend."
