"A little corner of paradise. Loved our visit; our campsite had its own little dock (all the ones on the water do), solid picnic table, fire pit and grill. We enjoyed the trails (the photo is from the scenic lookout) the staff was super-amazing! We also loved getting fresh crawfish at nearby local seafood seller, so fun to cook and sooo delicious!!!! We would have paddled had we had one more day, but weather was coming so we left for our long journey home."
"This park is a great spot to destress. It has great trails, friendly camp hosts, and lots of alligators. This park is great if you are looking to get away from the city lights and noise."
"Had two cabins for a weekend cabins one and cabin number two very clean couldn’t believe there was a wood-burning fireplace in each living room. Make sure you bring wood and kindling."
"Beautiful state park to camp, hike, canoe and fish. Tip: always pack your mosquito spray being surrounded by water and wooded areas your going to encounter them. We rent pavilion 1 once a year for an annual crawfish boil its a really nice facility and on the water. Its also in walking distance of the park, splash pad and trail walks. We visit regularly."
"Beautiful park with large level RV sites. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful here. There isn't much for trees between the sites but the size of your "backyard" makes up for it. Great water pressure, no issues with the 30amp electricity and the dump station is close enough to make it easy. The laundry facilities were sufficient and cheap but everything looked a bit rusty and could use an upgrade. Both this and the complete lack of ANY cellular signal dropped the rating to 4 stars for us. The long nature trails were being repaired as we stayed and they were coming along beautifully. Highly recommend this place if your looking to disconnect with technology and reconnect with nature!"
