"Last year I was so excited to finally get a pair of Kreme sunglasses. Because I need prescription lenses, I waited for a sale. Prescription lenses aren’t cheap. Afree only wearing the glasses for a year, one of the arms snapped off at a place where two pieces were welded together. I contacted Krewe customer service and they said they’d open a replacement claim for me. That claim was then denied because the frames were bought on sale. I’m not sure why they bothered letting me open a claim when they had my order information showing it was a sale purchase from the beginning. Even on sale, I still paid $147 for the frames and over $200 for the prescription lenses at another shop. The break is obviously a manufacturing defect. I am gentle with my frames, and have never had a pair of frames break like this in the 20 years I’ve worn glasses. When I informed Krewe customer service that it appeared to be a defend on their end, they stopped replying to me. I paid over $300 for prescription sunglasses that I can no longer use, and they can’t be bothered to help me. Now I’m suspicious that these frames were discontinued and on sale because of this issue. There’s another frame under the same name available, but the arms are completely different. Buyer beware, KREWE is happy to take your money, but might not be willing to help if their product is defective."
