"Do not I repeat do not waste your time or spend your money with this ffl. They will lie and hold your firearms hostage even when they are provided all the proper paper work. They are unprofessional, unorganized and provide terrible customer service. They are fully aware of the issue and still are wasting my time and still have no solution. I would advise you go to a different ffl. By far the worst customer service experience/ffl experience. And I still don't have my firearms."
"Worst buying experience ever. They will lie to you about your gun being there or will say that they can accept the paperwork even after you have gotten the problem corrected, they still won’t release your firearm. If I could give them -5 stars I’ve definitely would. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else where they treat you like people. Highly DONT recommend"
"Moved to Louisiana from Seattle area about two years ago. After settling in I started looking for a local source for reloading supplies and possible firearm purchases. This outlet was recommended to me by a friend and I owe that friend a debt of thanks. Good, friendly, knowledgeable people. Quality gear. Good pricing. Able to order what they might not have. I look no further when I need anything. They are my first stop."
"Love this place. Friendly staff, great service. Have purchased several guns and done transfers as well. The process has been very easy and I'm usually in and out with my new guns in about 10 minutes. Definitely my go to shop."
"I'm not sure if I've ever publicly reviewed a business before, but after my experience this afternoon I figure it would be best to inform others as to the manner I was treated. I found a great deal on a new handgun online and ordered it immediately. The closest FFL to me was St. Charles Firearms and Reloading. At $30 for a transfer, it was a good deal, good location so I set things in motion. I've never ordered a firearm online before so the rules and regulations were a bit new to me. I downloaded the transfer form, filled it out and packed it along with my license and a few other identifying documents so I would have everything I needed just in case. When the shipment was delivered, I headed over to the business to perform the transfer. Upon arrival, the owner's wife (assuming they own the business) was polite and courteous. I let her know I arrived to pick up a handgun I ordered and she informed me I would have to use the computer to complete the purchase (I assumed this meant to pay for the transfer). The older gentleman, her husband and I assume the owner, walked to the back room and I stood by the computer awaiting further instructions... as I stated, I've never done this before and I figured one of them would tell me that I needed to click something or do something specific. I never got any instructions, so I figured the owner needed to get something from the back or check something before helping me do whatever I needed to on the computer. 10 minutes pass and the owner comes out from the back and tells me "the form never came through, you need to fill it out at the computer". At this point I realized he was talking about the transfer form I had with me filled out already, to which I told him "Oh, I actually printed that one out and filled it out...." *this is where I was interrupted mid sentence with*: "NO!!!!! YOU HAVE TO FILL IT OUT ON THE COMPUTER, NOW!" I was stunned. I've never met this man, his staff or been to his business before but he literally yelled at me in front of everyone in the loudest, most ugly and disrespectful way I've ever been spoken to by a complete stranger. I was blown away, as you can imagine. I said "Wow, Okay then" and went to the computer, sat down and figured out how to complete that process on my own. After completion and a few minutes of verification, I paid for the transfer and was told everything was complete. At this point in time, the owner was out front helping another customer and I simply could not hold my tongue about how I was treated. I told them that "I am extremely disappointed and frustrated at how I was treated here today." They both looked completely shocked as if I came in and screamed obscenities at them. They noted that "we told you that you needed to fill out the form at the computer". I made sure they understood that this was my first time and I was unaware of the process and was simply asking if the form I already filled out would suffice, to save everyone time, to which I was met with more rude raised voices and the complete inability to admit wrongdoing or apologizing for treating a new customer in such a disgusting manner. In the end, they believed they acted rationally and I got no apology, no explanation that maybe they were having a hard day and got a little emotional, or anything. I stayed as polite and calm as possible despite being livid in regards to how I was spoken to and treated. Other reviews of this place seem glowing and I'm very happy they did not have the extreme negative experience that I did, but I think it is my duty to inform any other potential new customer so they can decide for themselves if it's worth the gamble of being yelled at for asking a simple question or treated like garbage for being ignorant on specifics of a process you've never gone through before. I've worked in customer service for many years and I know exactly what good customer service is. St. Charles Firearms and Reloading obviously does not believe in good customer service or at least didn't practice it with me. I will not be returning."
