"I was told by Kayla an item was on back order and there was no date when it would be available for the manufacturer two weeks ago. I had a script on file for the item at another local pharmacy. However I was having trouble with the other Pharmacy getting the insurance to cover it as Ochsner was the one that had done the PA. I spoke to Courtney today, in the PA Department, and she told me instead of switching my prescription to another Pharmacy that I should be patient because she had seen the item on their Shelf yesterday and one last week. I explained to her that I switched because I was told there was no estimated date the item would be in stock. So I called and spoke to Myling and asked her if she could order the the item. (Since I have been told by Courtney she had seen it in stock). She told me she would call the other pharmacy and get my script and order the item. At the end of the day around 4:00, hours later, I called back and spoke to my Myling to confirm that the item was ordered and to the script had been pulled from the other Pharmacy. She told me not yet, and was curt, telling me they were busy. She called me back two minutes later, stating that the item was on backorder with the manufacturer and they would not be able to get it. I was confused from I had been told earlier by Courtney about the availability. I explained to Myling the conversation I had with Courtney (genuinely trying to figure if I was doing something in correct). Myling told me she did not "appreciate me being dishonest". Using those exact words. She told me that Courtney was right there and Courtney never told me that information. I know what I was told earlier but I could chalk it up to miscommunication.(I was given misinformation by Courtney two weeks before in another interaction but was easily helped by Isabel at that time). Mistakes happen no big deal. However to have a professional person accused me of being dishonest is upsetting and poor customer service. I was previously warned by two two other customers of the same person's rude customer service at this pharmacy. However I ignored it and decided to give this Pharmacy my business, since I had nothing but positive interactions with Ochsner main campus Pharmacy for the last 12 years. I have also been helped by Kayla and Isabel at this particular Ochsner Raceland Pharmacy and have had positive interactions with both. I have always had positive relationships with any Pharmacy I use, taking the time to learn staff names and thank them for their help. This Pharmacy may be privately owned but this is a reflection on Ochsner. It's important for me that this be followed up and looked into since these people are part of my care team."
