"My child attends Little Red Cottage, and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff is fantastic, and the facility is excellent. When my daughter walks into the doors, she is excited. In addition, she has been learning so much while at daycare. If you can send your child here, please consider it."
"All of my 3 kids have gone to (or are currently attending) Little Red Cottage and Schoolhouse. We have had nothing but positive experiences, and my kids have all thrived there. I have tried sending my kids to a couple other daycares in the area, and the Schoolhouse/Cottage were the only daycares that my kids really looked forward to attending and I didn’t feel guilty sending them to. My oldest is now in Kindergarten and goes to a different school, but he still talks about how he misses LRSH. Yes, I am sure there have been a couple bad apples over the years (specifically the teacher involved in the recent incident). This is going to be true at every daycare, but usually schools handle these issues internally and there are not videos taken of the events and circulated across social media. Now that the administration is aware of the misconduct, they are implementing a lot of new policies and procedures to make sure this type of thing does not happen in the future, and I think it will only improve the school. The school has been very transparent about everything with the parents, and has been given daily updates since the video was first released. Before trusting this influx of negative reviews and feedback you are seeing across the internet (all reacting to a single video that has been circulated), most of whom have no direct experience with the daycare, I would implore you to get feedback from parents who actually have kids at the daycare. I love all of my kids’ teachers and have full confidence that none of my kids have been mistreated by anyone at the daycare."
"There's a video circulating showing an employee violently yanking a small child's legs, violently yanking her arm, then shoving a blanket over her. You can hear the child crying. It's disturbing. It was taken from the point of view of another person in the room. Let that sink in. Update: there's a bad culture at this place. Office staff and teachers cover for each other. The abuse that just came to light is not an isolated incident. I talked to a former teacher and she witness a baby getting yanked from a crib in the same manner. Again, firing the one teacher caught on tape does not make this a safe space for babies and children. There's a fundamental problem with this place and it should either be completely wiped clean or go under. They removed one rotten apple. Others remain. Two other teachers were in that room and office staff was supposed to be monitoring the cameras. The teacher caught on tape was known to be the disciplinarian and other teachers send the "problem" babies and kids to her."
"I would rate this 0 stars if it was possible- I would never send a child here after what has happend to that poor baby by 2 TEACHERS this is ridiculous other adults where in the room and they did nothing about it the poor child was slapped and then was grabbed roughly by her arms and legs the child was crying and the daycare proceeded to only fire 1 teacher of the TWO who grabbed her please never send your children here parents"
"There are videos circulating of disturbing interactions between staff & the kids. The one I saw included one of the staff popping a little toddlers butt with her phone then yanking her on to her sleep mat by her leg and throwing the mat on top of her. If this happened to my child or at the daycare my toddler attends, I would immediately withdraw him from the program. This establishment comes across as very pretentious with their 2+ year waiting list and outrageous prices, but they are not holding themselves to that standard. Do better."
