"Lake Villa apartments has been my home for the past 7 years. I highly recommend this community, close to everything the maíntenance and office staff are wonderful. Great customer service. Grocery store, schools, parks and public transportation nearby."
"Beautiful community. The location is close to everything. Managment is excellent & great customer service. Love my apartment."
"PROS: The apartment is driving distance to many restaurants, Lakeshore Drive, and the university of New Orleans. That’s the only reason why it get two stars. CONS: Rude management staff in the leasing office, unexpected charges added to your account, and NOISE, NOISE, NOISE!!! Throughout the day and evening hours, all I hear is LOUD MUSIC and constant bumping and stomping from adjacent apartments. I’ve tried contacting the leasing office about this. Also had to call the police a few times but NOTHING IS DONE about this. When my lease is up, I WILL NOT be renewing. I will be moving somewhere much more peaceful! DO NOT move to Lake Villa unless you necessarily have to."
"They took our whole deposit for “carpet damage” when there was no carpet damage at all in our apartment. They literally just wanted to keep our deposit. They use to be decently priced but there is no way we were staying for $850 for a tiny 400 square foot apartment when you can spend $50-$100 more and get a decent one bedroom at another apartment. They also had a roach issues, not inside the apartment but on the outside of building. Random people that didn’t live there would get into the pool in the summer and be super loud and leave their drinks and trash in the pool. Wouldn’t waist my time here."
"Lake Villa was once a great place to live. Unfortunately, things have took a turn for the worst. It's not gated, so petty thieves break into cars in the wee hours of the morning and such. Who knows, it could be an inside job with your own neighbors. There are no security cameras around the complex, so good luck with trying to catch them. The old property manager "Cita" was a pleasure to work with. The new managers (Hortencia and Maria), not so much. Old smoke smells cover the apartment and not to mention insect problems that require more than an exterminator. On a positive note, long-time residents look out for one another and maintenance is pretty quick to respond. However, overall, don't waste your time or money."
