"I currently have two sons enrolled and felt an obligation to share our experience at Good Shepard. My older son was removed from several daycare facilities in the DS and Watson area when we first moved here. No daycare seemed to care that he had just moved from the only home he had known, the only daycare and teachers he had known (side note he was there long term and had no issues), and away from all his extended family. This was a big change for him. At least four other daycares gave him less than two weeks before discharging him. He truly just needed someone to stick it out and give him a chance. We really struggled because it seemed daycares only wanted “easy” children and didn’t want to deal with the fact that he was adjusting. At Good Shepard he has now grown to love school again and even get excited in the morning to go to school and that is 1000% because Ms. Kelli and Ms. Misty took the time to really get to know him and make him feel welcome. We never asked or expected extra care/attention for our child who obviously needed it at the time but they saw a need and rose to the occasion. They have continued to go above and beyond both of our children and I am doing this review in hopes that if another family feels helpless, there are daycares out there that do a wonderful job and are in it for the impact they make on the child. Good Shephard seriously goes above and beyond their job duties to make every kid feel seen at such a crucial time in their lives."

"First off I want to say many of the teachers at this daycare are wonderful and this review no way reflects their care of my children. This review is based off of my interactions with the current management and owner. The current manager plays favorites with the children and is very evident if you spend 5 minutes in the mornings dropping off your kids. She is dishonest about events that occur in the daycare and lies to the owner about it, I assume for own career. This facility has closed for 4 weeks this year due to covid which by no means is their fault however they still force payment and the owner makes sure to remind you in every email he sends. He is truly financially driven and cares nothing about your children or your families. The name “Good Shepard” is a misnomer. The facility had an outbreak of RSV cases and failed to notify parents. They also failed to notify parents of the outbreak of HFM. They then do not adhere to their own policies regarding the above. Sadly I made the decision to remove my children from this daycare because the management no longer has their best interest."
