"Horrible ROACH PROBLEM! I lived there for 18months, and so did 3 of my coworkers in different units and we all had roach infestations. In the vents in the bathroom, pantry, closets, bedrooms, kitchen... all over. They did monthly sprays and did "construction" to fight the infestation, which did lessen the problem but not eradicate it. Also I believe that the vents in my bedroom had mold in them. While I lived there I had constant raspiness, dripping nasal and etc... as soon as I moved those symptoms immediately cleared up. Beware."
"I’m so tired of living here. Almost 7 years. First off, the a/c is not fit for Louisiana heat. Does not get below 82 in the day, or 75 at night. They keep trying to blame the heat but I haven’t been to anyone else’s apartment having the same issues. My sister lives down the street on the 3rd floor and no issues. 2nd is roaches: before COVID, they used to spray outside and inside. After a year and a half with no pest control, they no longer even spray outside and now this place is infested. 3rd: the property as a whole is just run down. No one pressure washes the stairs or halls. Pool is barely open. Gate always broken. Just yuck. Management is nice but what can they really do?! The owners, I blame."
"Please be aware Pelican Bay apartments in Kenner LA has a huge roach problem the buildings are infested with roaches. The office staff is doing everything they can to combat the problem however it’s infested. I have been dealing with roaches for about 6 months now. The roaches are in the wall I kill at least 7 to 10 roaches a day. When I’m not killing them I find them dead on my floor either when I wake up or arrive back from work."
"Hey, just wanted to share my experience with anyone it can help. I was previously a military spouse. This was my first apartment back in my home town after being gone for 8 years. I was looking for something quite for my daughter and I. I loved pelican bay at first. Until a had a maintenance issues. First, it was mold in my bathroom. I had to put in a work order and still call every day for 4 days straight for someone to come out and look at it. Thinking to my self not so bad right? But the apartment continue to have small problem and it would take a very long time to get anything worked on. At the time I moved in I asked about cleaning the carpet due to the fact I left a town house in Colorado Springs that would get carpet cleanings every time the lease was re-signed. I was told that they didn’t offer that service. After, moving out I was billed 2 weeks later for new carpet. Please, listen carefully if you move out they apartments please do yourself a favor and take a ton of photos and videos. Make sure they are time stamped as well. Because, you may end up having to prove the way you left your apartment. Rent was always paid on time and they had 4 months notice. So, yes everything was by the book."
