"My daughter received a phone call saying her child was "unresponsive" with a nose bleed, after being awaken from a nap. My daughter conferenced me into the call because I was already in route to pick him up early. I clearly hear the lady Kelsey say he is unresponsive which caused me to go into upset mode. I called 911, because all I could think about was previous incidents. The week prior, I picked him up early and according to his teacher he had just fell and hit his head. The toy he hit his head on outside, was metal. He was rubbing the back of his head with little tears in his eyes. I kept an eye on him and with lack of better judgement did not get him checked out by a doctor. A couple of months before that, my daughter got a phone call saying another child hit him in the head with a toy. Fast forward back to the phone call. When I arrived, Charlotte who works in the office stated, "he is alright, he was having seizure like behavior and not responding to his name or hand movements". No one from the daycare decided to call 911, after explaining seizure like behavior when stating his eyes were rolling back. First responders arrived to check him out as well as a police officer who started investigating the incident. The assistant director became upset with me obviously about calling 911 and asked me to leave the premises because she was offering a traumatized child cheeze its (snack) after my grandson clearly kept shying away from her while his daddy held him. I told her, "he is good" (meaning, he don't want it) and she said you need to leave with a hand gesture you use to shy away an unwanted dog. I was already in the process of walking out of the door to wait for my daughter to arrive and I advised her of that. Now mind you, I was on the list of contacts as one the people allowed to drop off and pick up. They never had an issue or had been easily triggered until that day. The owner made it clear when she told my daughter he could not come back because her mother called 911. After catching one of the workers hollering at two little Caucasian boys away from the "cameras" who looked scared, I had been advising my daughter to look elsewhere anyways. Speaking of cameras, they claim they'll let you see when enrolling but both my daughter and I asked about a camara play back in the past and was told they couldn't. Yet, the detective was able to see a playback of the day my grandson was "unresponsive". The owner who was never called by her staff when the incident happened, tried to lie for Kelsey, by saying she never said unresponsive. The owner only knew something was going on from her video surveillance. Also note, I had just popped up the day before to check on him because my daughter was concerned about his sensitive behavior he had been showing recently. He stopped liking to go to daycare. He had used the word "punk", which we never had heard him use before. I advised Charlotte who works in the office of this, she said she would look into it and the next day the above incident took place. I don't care how sweet and nice they seem, they need training, patience, and a course on being genuine."
"From what i’ve heard, this place is DISGUSTING. Roughly handling children, cussing in front of and at the kids. These teachers and the owner should be ashamed to even keep this business open. Don’t bring your kids here unless you want them to be verbally and physically abused."
"My daughter enjoyed her time at La Petite. Mrs. Charlotte and Mrs. Debra are amazing."
"Do not use Google Maps to find this business! It takes you down a private driveway without direct access to this daycare. Use Waze if you need directions. DO NOT turn down Bercegeay Drive!"
"My son is learning so much in his class and is excited to go to “school.” His teachers and the staff here has been great with him. Highly recommend this learning center."
